I can't believe this is a legitimate way to finish a Witcher 3 side quest :/

Green Man Gaming has Dragon's Dogma keys readily available right? I want to buy it this Friday.

Yes, it's in my library right now

Just finished Tales from the Borderlands and it's really good, barring the gameplay because there wasn't any. Definitely Telltale's best one of these by a fair margin.

So.

Just started playing Endless Legend.

Fuck Civilization.

H e a t h e n.

Nah, I'm playing. Endless Legend is a lot more friendly to people who aren't huge on strategy than Civ. Even has that nice Civ look. With a better UI. But shittier combat animations. Has multiple win paths just like it, too, right? Can't comment at all on the little things, though. I'll be waiting for EL2 to drop in price with a complete before I jump the Sid Meier, and only after I finish Beyond Earth.

Been away over a week at the family's place and havent posted, but i wanted to say everyone should buy the Talos Principle cause its legit ass legit shit thats super interesting and a lot of fun. I pretty much completed everything in that game, took me 30 hours. Everything about it was a lot better than what i was expecting. Graphics, puzzle quality, story, music. It was all good.

I haven't started second half, how was it?

Not as much hand holding as in the first part, story goes into weird places at the end, but overall it's really, really good.
Can't understand what all the fuss was about. Definitely a better game overall than Grim Fandango or Full Throttle.

I just finished Undertale.
Sorry GAF, it was all right but not even close to making it to my top 10 list of 2015. I am actually a little baffled at all the high praise.

Damn, gaf stop me! I bought a steam controller and like 10 games at start of sale. I said I was done. Today I "accidently" added another 100 to my wallet and spent all of it. I completely forgot to wait on dragons dogma. I royally screwed up.

Battlefield: BC 2

Good list.

Regarding this (and the successor - BC2 Vietnam) - I take it is mostly multiplayer, but is there a reasonable amount of single-player content with some replayability / variation? Ie, one can argue that StarCraft 1 is first and foremost a multiplayer game, but it still includes a campaign, plus there are simply tons of custom maps for single player - how does BC2 rate in that regard? What about Battlefield 2?

You can always refund.

I have not played Undertale yet, but my sister tells me playing a second time in a different style is crucial to finishing it, but as I asked for no spoilers, don't know why.

The high praise is over the top, but to most of us that have played it, it's been enjoyable. There are a few recognizable things not everyone would enjoy, but it is a personal taste deal at the end of the day. Opinions, though.

Least it has a good dollar to time ratio!

Finally got into a game I got for Xmas.
Clandestine is a little harder solo, but damn it's a lot of fun. I'm going to be playing it and Alpha Protocol simultaenously, so I'm getting my spycraft on something fierce.

Wait, you can solo Clandestine?
Isn't the whole game setup for 2 player?

Thea: The Awakened has grown on me a lot. Every time I get hit with a massive loss and think my game is over, I manage to rebound somehow. All of my rookie mistakes have crippled my progression, but it's fun nonetheless.

It's only a matter of time before a five-skull enemy attacks my town and it's all over.
So.

Just started playing Endless Legend.

Fuck Civilization.

You'll be back. They always come back.

Nah, I'm playing. Endless Legend is a lot more friendly to people who aren't huge on strategy than Civ. Even has that nice Civ look. With a better UI. But shittier combat animations. Endless Legend has quests and lore and all that jazz.

It absolutely shits on Civilization.

You switch between/play both roles yourself. It's a little less than ideal, but yes, it's quite playable.
I don't know anyone else who owns it, so I'm going through it on my own.

Eh, that sounds like a chore.
Guess it's going to stay on the list until it's really cheap somewhere.

So far, not a chore. Only a single button to switch between them on the fly and the interface feel intuitive/make sense, so it's not hard to play both. Obviously not having to switch between them would be faster/a little easier, but I'm sold and I've only put in about an hour

EL's got an absolutely engrossing setting, a gorgeous aesthetic, and a vast swath of incredibly asymmetric and interestingly thought out factions, on top of a superior territory system and a number of various QoL improvements that honestly make it difficult to go back to Civ. It also has a way superior 'quest' system than Civ 5 or BE.

After Beyond Earth especially, it's refreshing to see a 4X game willing to carve out its' own thing and drop a lot of cruft.

I'd say that diplomacy isn't quite as in-depth as Civ (though that it clearly defines your partner's satisfaction with the terms of a treaty/trade is appreciated), and there's nothing in the game to map out things like religion (though there is a faction that utilizes this), but I wouldn't say the game lacks in strategy compared to it. It's just way less obtuse about certain things.

so basically everyone reading this please buy EL now

Just wanting to recommend Outlast. If you are even remotely a horror fan and have not yet played it, you simply can't miss it. It's currently 5 bucks, and the expansion is $2. For only 7 bucks, you get what is quite possibly the finest horror experience to grace the industry over the past decade.

I picked up Talos but haven't started it. I'm concerned about the VR version. I don't want to play the game twice.

I almost stuck to my guns but the GF mentioned she wanted the Hatoful Boyfriend sequel so I picked up Holiday Star. It was only 15 percent off, so I didn't really get a deal. I hope Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star has as many insane twists as the first one does. Can anybody whose played it confirm?

I'd say it peaks in its' first hour and gradually tumbles down from there, but for five dollars, sure, it's worth it.

Lone Survivor is 7.49, if you're looking at horror.
