Did any notable games get an extra discount on their sale price for this sale? Or did every publisher just stick with their original sale price?

I keep trying this but it doesn't work for me. After typing the 1v7531 on the ikaruga password popup it just redirects me to a search results page where the search query is search

What browser are you using (I'm not sure if it matters but just trying to see where the issue could be)? Where are you typing search?

Here's what I did:
-Opened Chrome (not incognito) and went to the Ikaruga page and logged into my account.
-Clicked a blank part of the page to make sure nothing was highlighted and typed search and pressed enter.
-Pasted 1v7531 and press enter.

Not sure if you tried this yet -- Try clicking OK after typing the password instead of hitting enter. That's what did it for me.

Tried chrome and didn't copy paste this time and it worked! Thanks everyone.

Haven't bought a single thing all sale long, that just ain't natural man -- feeling the jitters to make some last minute purchases before the deals close off.

Quick SteamGAF, I needs some advice:

  • Which titles out of the 'Jedi Knight' bundle are worth owning?
Or is it a better deal to just get the entire pack for $5.99 even if I don't really feel like playing the older ones? How do they compare to KOTOR in quality?
(I know they're different genres, just using that as a benchmark since it's really the only SW games I've had proper experience with)

  • Is it likely the new TT games (Tales from BL, GoT etc.) will go on sale again anytime soon and for a lower price? Or is it a generally good idea to get them now since they're both completed?

Dang. I just finished basically everything there is to do in Scholar of the First Sin. Either I'm getting better at these games or they nerfed some of the bosses. Things I had never done before that I did this time:
1) Beat all 3 of the co-op DLC bosses solo on my first try. Honestly, this shocked me more than anything. I wandered through the Frozen Wastes and beat the double tigers on my first try, which is something I've never done before solo. On DS2 Vanilla, I think I tried that boss two dozen times before giving up and summoning an AI partner to do it.
2) Beat Darklurker melee for the first time. Took me a three tries, which is less than a tenth of the tries I had taken before and still never succeeded.
3) Discovered the majesty of the Pursuer's Greatsword. That counter hit damage...

Now that everything is done...i feel kinda sad. :(

Overall, I'd say that Scholar is about on par with vanilla. Some areas are better (Lost Bastille, Heide's Tower of Flame, Dragon Aerie, Aldia's Keep), some are worse (Iron Keep, Earthen Peak). I like some of the weird oddities they threw in like the hollow that runs away from you at top speed in Huntsman's Copse and some of the red phantoms. I don't understand what was up with the invisible/hidden hollows placed in walls that you can attack to get incidental items. That made no sense to me, but it was neat i guess? I also wish they would have expanded the role of the Pursuer further, increasing his moveset and strength and had him show up throughout the game. He's kind of a pushover after the first encounter, which is too bad, he's a cool idea.

Finally, I would have liked a bit of remixing on the DLC areas, just for the sake of variety. They're the best areas in the game by far, so they don't really need improving or fixing in any way, but it would have been nice to see an expanded enemy set like other areas at least.

Finally, I liked the lore aspect of having Syan Knights guard the king's gates, but damn, they should have bumped up their speed and strength, because they are some of the easier enemies in the game, and no stand in for the Black Knights of DS1. Also, their reduced representation in Drangleic Castle was a bummer. Ditto for the Mastadon Knights.

Can someone explain what I do to get the red herring badge? I read that google doc but nothing works when I put passwords in.

1. Go to Ikarugas page.
2. "Search" into Search Bar (game finding on the store). Press enter.
3. ???
4. Input password you got PROFIT!

If you aren't getting a Javascript alert, disable noscript/etc.

Have you tried it in Chrome, it supposedly doesn't work in Firefox. Results may vary in other browsers too.

So doing a last minute purchase, couple questions...

1) Euro Truck Sim 2, is it cheaper to buy the North DLC even if you own the base game + one of the items in the pack? Main goal is to get the expansion. Expansion by itself is 9.XX while the pack is 11.XX

2) I have room for something else..but this sale has made my wishlist bigger.... Tempted to buy Grim Dawn even though the discount isn't at 50% yet. Or something else. Anno complete maybe....

Has there been any posts or threads with a breakdown of cheap recommendations? Going to try and just buy everything I want tonight.

Haven't really bought much during this sale, but I'm deciding whether I should get Rainbow Six: Siege or Witcher 3. Few questions:

1. I hear that Rainbow Six is light on content. I do know that there will be more maps available in the future, but do you guys feel that it's worth $45?

2. How similar is the Witcher 3 in comparison to the previous Witcher games? Would it be worth it to get The Witcher 3 if The Witcher 2 didn't interest me much?

Any help would be appreciated.

for the few people that still don't have it, always sometimes monsters is $2.50 and is the bestest

ost is really good too

hmm basically:
- same combat as witcha 2 tho a bit improved in handling and enemy types and such. no more traps tho
- same world and characters as in witcha 1 and 2
- same dialogue system, same kind of quests as witcha 2
- open world, tho less systems-driven than something like skyrim

so basically, if you like the universe and characters it's more of that and it even has the bloody baron stuff that's probably the best writing in the series.

if you don't like the series then you're not gonna find enough new stuff here to compensate

Just wait for it to go on sale, the Scandinavia DLC was 4.50 in Sep

My suggestion would be Sunless Sea, base on what you got on that list. Ys games are good too.

I'll give a nudge to Grim Dawn. Haven't gotten big into this style of ARPG in a while and it has its' talons into me much more than I expected.

Is Darkest Dungeon better now after they had the misstep with corpses or whatever? Thinking about picking it up as a last minute purchase.

There are a lot of very aggravated reviews from December. Sounds like they upped the grinding and punitive nature of the game.

I wouldn't be surprised if they put the game on sale once it hits 1.0.

Gotta say, that Gamesplanet 30%-off deal for Dariusburst is nifty. I got that + Blue Estate, Stacking, Grim Fandango Remastered, and Ikaruga. Sale's done for me, as I'm waiting for bigger deal on Nobunaga's Ambition, Endless Legend, and Cities: Skylines.

Wowzer. Alien is incredibly atmospheric. So much attention to detail and the sound, the sound maaaan!
I never played horror games and my heart got pounding heavily and I froze just staring at the screen when music spiked. The metallic screeching and whatnot is so tense!
The toughest part, I played 2,5hrs and haven't even seen any enemy yet! :o
I could only play one hour top in a session, it's too intense.
