You ever bought a boxed Game/Figure at a Flea Market and it was something else?

I bought a copy of lost planet for ps3 off ebay and behind the instruction booklet was a photo of what I can only assume to be the sellers wedding day. Tbf who doesn't put a nice little family photo in their games? I left it in there.

Someone put the flashing deformed Yoshi on the tv screen.

I bought a large pile of Megdrive games (20+) and got mostly what I paid for but ended up with Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair in a Toejam and Earl box and a bootleg Phantasy Star 2 with bootleg guide. (English rom in japanese style cartridge). I also found a copy of Guardian Heroes in a Doom Saturn case.

Bought Dragon Quest Monsters for DS in EBGames used game bargain bin. When I got home, I was pleasantly surprised to see the cartridge is Dragon Quest Rocket Slime instead.

wasn't there a story about a mom buying a used 3ds for his son only to find the previous owner's porn pictures in the photo album?

also no, never happened to me. I did receive a couple pirated games from ebay though

I had a SNES cart that was labeled as Mario is Missing, but in reality it was a copy of The Incredible Crash Dummies.

Was about to buy a copy of MGS at a flea market once but instead of the second disk, there was the pizza hut demo disk of the game.

And This isn't at flea markets, but almost every GameStop I've been too has copies of Metroid Prime Hunters First Hunt being sold as the retail game.

That story is almost certainly made up though.

All Amiibo bundles display the actual Amiibo, even the Walmart Console Mario Maker Bundle.

I bought VF4EVO at a convention for a few bucks since I've been buying ps2 games that I used to own and/or want to own since they are out of print now. It turned out to be Capcom Fighting Jam in the case, never played it before but it looks like something someone made in MUGEN. The case wasn't exactly in mint condition but it had a white sticker on the side they sealed it shut with, so I didn't take a look at what's inside until I got home, since usually if it wasn't sealed I would look inside for a manual and disc condition. Lesson learned, even if it is sealed, take a peek inside.

I ordered KOTOR 1 and 2 for the original Xbox off of the gamestop website a long time ago. They were both used, as they didn't have any new anymore. So I get the package, open up KOTOR 2 and it's good to go. No scratches. Perfect disc. Open up KOTOR 1, and it has another KOTOR 2 disc. Scratched to hell and back.

I go to gamestop to try and get a refund/order a new one, and they were throwing fits about it saying I was trying to scam them because they could 'look at my order' and see what I was doing (thinking I took the KOTOR 2 disc and put it into KOTOR 1 case, for whatever reason). I had to go home, get the other KOTOR 2 and bring that in to prove.

Even then it took almost an hour to finally get them to say that they messed up on their end rather than me on mine. Such a hassle.

I once got the Ocarina of Time +Master Quest for Gamecube, but inside there was a Scorpion King game. :(
I was so sad I didn't even play it.

Why would anyone buy a Yoshi wooly Amiibo for $20 at a flea market? You can get it at that price almost anywhere (new).

Lots of people value Amiibos high because of their percieved scarcity.

People swear that holding onto them will be a great investment, but I see ones that are supposedly "rare" go for the suggested retail price or lower on ebay sealed all the time.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bought an original Xbox Silent Hill 2. When I got back home it turned out to be SH4 instead. To this day I have never played either SH2 or SH4. The first one because it's hard to find (bar that gross HD port) and the latter out of spite.
