Now that i think about it more devs should do that, for example it would have been cool to see a Nintendo donation on the Mario block yesterday.
Aww damn. DICE donated a 1000$![]()
Wonder if DICE take notes at runs like this. Like, Yo John, look at this shit, better double check that physics source code!

Nice to see Devs supporting this, makes me wonder how big it could become, they already have partners running pinball and other activities and official giveaways, could become a much larger event if they wanted it.
It would be really cool if it got big like that, but people would complain even MORE about AGDQ "selling out" than they already do...
Nintendo Japan. Nintendo of America probably does, though I also think they'd get in trouble if anyone from NoA donated and mentioned they worked for Nintendo.
nobody worth listening to complains about GDQ selling out
What are donations looking like at this point compared to last year?
Sadly, this is probably true but a Nintendo Treehouse member is at AGDQ this year: Ethan Stockton. And he's been tweeting about it on his twitter throughout the week.
Yeah, what's the deal with no humble bundle? They even had them as a sponsor on the stream a few days ago.https://www.reddit.com/r/speedrun/comments/3zwi95/could_agdq_2016_fall_below_2015_in_terms_of/
Looks like we might fall behind quite far.
From speedrunning a game to getting a job working the next one. Lucky person right there.
Ooo that's neat.

Yeah, he was also apparently the one responsible for getting the speedrunners that were at NWC last year. He seems to be really big into speedruns.
It's my favorite as well. I think it's called "Kate".Atrium theme, best music in the game.
As impressive as this is...
I should go to AGDQ with a really easy game and just get a hype guy to go "Oh my god, this bit is so hard... omg Auctopus did it, that's amazing!"
I'd get so many applause.

While true, the drama surrounding it bleeds into almost every stream I watch (even chill, laid-back ones aren't exempt) for like the month leading up to and after the event. People can't stand watching something they like go "mainstream"

You were saying?God Mirror's Edge art design is still in a league of its own
I don't know how you could possibly speedrun a game like Stepmania but I look forward to finding out.
