He couldn't get a glitch to work early on, so they thought maybe he could take a game over to restart the level. But then they found out that Donatello still had no lives, so now he's stuck doing the whole level again without the glitch and without the second player.

Which remake the one Ubisoft published?
Lot of people disliked it.
It is based on the original Arcade game but is remade in a 2.5D look. They couldn't use the original audio so they made new music for the game (though a few tracks are retained).
Personally...I liked it. I'm a big fan of the TMNT beat'em-ups and I didn't mind this game at all.
One of the most played games on my PS3 especially when my younger nephews are around.
