IIRC they ran FF1 at Best of NES in 2015 and they did a decent job making it marathon safe for the most part. For Wizards you would only have to try again from the start of the Marsh Cave and they have a grinding point later to set up for the rest of the game.

I wish Capcom would rerelease Mega Man 9 and 10 on Steam and modern consoles.

Watching MM10 and MM9 back to back just reminded me of how awesome MM9 was and how disappointing a sequel MM10 was. Like MM10 is a pretty good game in and of itself, but literally every aspect of it is a step down from MM9. Levels, music, levels, weapons, everything.
