You don't like it so it shouldn't exist. Yes that's a very reasonable opinion to have.

Somehow I think we have Idea Factory to thank for this.
It's very clearly Kadokawa and Demon Gaze
But they probably did it because of the Idea Factory Illuminati so I guess you're right

The immense success of their games in the US had to have been an influence.
Heh, that still reduces to IFI. I like it.
Man, Demon Gaze sucked.
I'd say it is a reasonable opinion to have. It'd be like if a foreign localization of The Last Of Us replaced Ellie's model so that she looked like an anime character with giant tits just flopping about. You don't like it so it shouldn't exist. Yes that's a very reasonable opinion to have.

I'm not sure I'd call IFI's sales "immense success". They're still pretty niche, outside of a novelty-driven surge of ReBirth 1 on Steam.
This thread has literally just shit the bed.

Original art:
I think character portraits should be left blank!

Having the option for such an absurd, fetishistic replacement would still be an insult towards the original artist. Use your head a little. With the option to not have it look like that, so this would be a non-issue. Get your examples right. :>
Indeed, and your posts are prime examples of that....right
like I said, perspective seems to be lacking in general
if posting "no u" is the best you can do, your argument can't be very goodIndeed, and your posts are prime examples of that.
Never heard of this game but just checked out some gameplay. I feel this game will do quite well on PC.
What is the game difficulity and how easier to get in to compare to others dungeon crawler.
I did play Elminage Original(PSP) and found out that it too difficult
I think Wizardry:tales of forsaken land(PS2) and Etrian Odyssey series are more suit to my skills.
So do you think this game is beyond my skill or not.
i'm getting it for Vita, the idea of playing J RPGs on PC just feels weird to me
If I'm not mistaken you can put custom character portraits in the game (at least in the pc version):

I'm dying. Would've bought it anyway since Demon Gaze was the most enjoyable game I played last year, but this just seals the deal. The Vita and Xbox one versions at least will let you switch between two styles

At this point, I feel like the only reason there is no Vita emulator on PC is because it would be quite redundant.Burn the Vita, it's contaminating the PC now!
Why... the original looks so much better and unique tbh.The Vita and Xbox one versions at least will let you switch between two styles

You know, I was going to joke that the only thing missing from the generic anime version was an ahoge, because you know it's truly crossed the threshold when there's ahoge. I was going to add one in in MSpaint.
Turns out there already is. Just really hard to see

I can't stop laughing.
Never heard of this before. Is this another Wizardry 1-6 style game?

So much hyperbole is making my head spin.At this point, I feel like the only reason there is no Vita emulator on PC is because it would be quite redundant.
The only thing I can say is that I find dungeon crawlers to be a good "pick up for 15 minutes and get some levels in" game and not a "sit down and play for 2 hours" game. Has nothing to do with PC vs anything else, but rather handheld vs monitor/TV.Why is that? Whats the difference of playing lets say Tales of on PS4 or PC besides one offers better graphics?
But this got ported from pc TO Vita. ¯\_(ツAt this point, I feel like the only reason there is no Vita emulator on PC is because it would be quite redundant.
I'm perfectly fine with anime style stuff and Senran Kagjra level designs, but the redesigns for this game are just embarrassing when the original art is so amazing. I actually want the Vita limited edition because the art is so good, and I almost never pay extra for that mind of stuff.
The thing is, its Optional the selections so it does not really matter if the new designs are in there or not. As it is not as if any of the versions have the new art style as the only default setting that is unable to be changed.

It's being given that as a public face on the XB1 version, though.

I never said it shouldn't be an option ... I said it's embarassing. It is.
I mean you could put up finger painted replacements up for the art in the Louvre, give people the choice to see that or the original, and the finger painted stuff looks embarassing in contrast ... That's what we've got here. Infantile art versus a dark gothic that captures the mood of the game.
Sp, yeah, its embarassing ... And if someone prefers an inferior style, more power to 'em, but ... Yuck.
