They usually end with a popular RPG. This is actually the second time they end with FF4, first was back in 2011, which I believe was the first time I started watching these things.

That's a fair point. I guess the most recent GDQs the finales have been:
Chrono Trigger (twice), FF6, FF4 (now), and OoT (the odd one out, last AGDQ)

Yeah, the Super Metroid run is generally the climax, with a classic SNES JRPG being used as the "winding down" game.

You're not supposed to be able to walk around the town at this point in the game...

He used a glitch that let him walk through the town tiles without entering the town, allowing him to enter it from the other side and do things in there without flagging the bomb event.

AGDQ 2015 raised something like 1.5mil and SGDQ 2015 raised around 1.2mil.
