'No one can blame you...for walking away'

Such a sad day. 2016 is off to a terrible start.

Bowie will live forever in our hearts.

RIP. David Bowie was my favorite artist. I didn't know how to handle this news so I stayed up and listened to Blackstar and drew this picture as tribute.

Thanks for decades of amazing music.
Oh man, that's a lovely tribute; if it's okay I'd like to use that as an avatar on Twitter?

Literally lost for words. Bowie was one of the first artists I ever grew up listening to, and he was without a doubt one of the most talented musicians of all time.

R.I.P David, you'll be greatly, greatly missed.

Woke up to this news, i'm in complete shock. Had absolutely no idea he was ill (but to be fair, David Bowie did keep his private life private in recent years). Played some Bowie on my way to work this morning, will play it at any chance i have today.

R.I.P

I am incredibly sad.

Last year at work I changed projects and had to create a bunch of new accounts - I named some of them David.Bowie for shits and giggles. A colleague joked how they were jealous I took the name for me now. I changed some of the birthdates in my social media profiles to Bowie's birthday - everyone congratulated me when it was his birthday just recently.
My profile pic on Skype is still his wonderful face, looking eternally young.

For a grown ass adult, I was still gleefully obsessed with this amazing human being.

I was still converting people at work to his songs just mere days ago.

It is the saddest day today, as I wake up in world where Bowie is no more.

I was gonna go to bed, but I decided to check the news, just cause.

Huge mistake. Fucking devastated. I've been meaning to listen to Blackstar all weekend, but couldn't find the time. Definitely gonna hear it tomorrow. R.I.P. to a true artist. Even his death was a great work.

Just woke up and heard the news. My father is one of the biggest Bowie fans you could meet and as such I grew up listening to his entire discography. They both shared their birthday on January 8th (release date of Blackstar) and as such I'd ordered it for my father as a birthday gift. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive on time and is set to arrive today. He will be gutted.

Thoughts go out to all Bowie's friends, family and fans. RIP.

Watching that Lazarus video is chilling now.

Was never the biggest fan of David Bowie outside of the popular songs but always appreciated his talent; I guess now is an appropriate time to do a deeper dive on his music. And to rewatch The Prestige

RIP David Bowie.

damn, rip :(

i was just casually listening to him last night for the first time in ages too

maybe it's time for me to properly delve into his work

I read the news in class. I couldn't believe it and still can't. Always thought that he would live for an eternity. A huge loss for the world.

Rest in peace.

Bowie Live 2002 - BBC Radio Theatre

So many masterful versions of his classics in this little concert, but the real gem here is Absolute Beginners, it simply soars in this live form, with the female backing vocal just gliding beautifully underneath Bowie's intense delivery. It's the definitive version of this song, and as good as the single version is, it's not a patch on the much looser but focused live version. Enjoy. It's bloody brilliant.

'heroes' is such a fucking great album. i can alternate between that and low for a week to help get me through it.
I've spent the past few weeks listening to Station to Station -> Low -> "Heroes" at least once a day. And then Blackstar came out and was awesome!

Now this :(
