Yep. In the post-raid photos they showed confiscated rifles / RPGs / tons of ammo and semi-heavy weaponry that were in that safe house. I can't really expect them to knock on the door and say "Police, open up. We have a warrant!"

I mean it's a cartel, we're not talking 4 dudes with only one of them having a 9mm handgun under a mattress in the back like on COPS.
These cartel dudes run around with military hardware and ridiculous amounts of explosives.
When Cartels start getting RPGs, sniper rifles, and semi-automatics by the regular, the Rambo approach starts making more sense than the Sam Fisher approach.
Edit: Or I guess Rainbow Six is more accurate. Fuck stealth in Rainbow Six.
