US PSN has a sale on (Vita compatible) PSOne classics this week & more

Tactics PSOne has outdated translation but otherwise plays fine.
Chrono Cross is OK long as you don't treat it as a sequel to CT.

Final Fantasy Tactics is legit one of the best tactical rpgs out there, if not one of the best games period. If FE even remotely resonated with you, you can't go wrong at that price point.

Thanks a bunch, guys! I won't have time to look into this much this week, so your recommendations are well appreciated :)

Talked myself down to a clean $5 minimum transaction and grabbed Xenogears and Suikoden. I want to grab Danganronpa, but I've still got VLR unfinished so I'm set on my VN quota a while longer.

YESSS! Already own most of the Japanese stuff available but have been eyeballing Mass Effect Trilogy for a while so this made my day! I played through ME 1 on XBox 360 ages ago and don't remember much, and only played a couple of hours of ME 2 on PC so this should be fresh and new. I imagine there is a lot of gameplay to be had in this collection lol.

Man, I really wish the PS1 classics were compatible with the PS4.

Also, how similar is Infamous: Second Son to First Light? I played the hell out of First Light after getting it with PS+ last year and would love to play something like it, is Second Son more of the same?

Another note of "Get a Vita (PlayStation) TV" if you miss PS1 classics on PS4. I get more use out of my PTV than PS4 (until SFV comes out, especially).

It's the missing part of the PS4 that really could have been a standard pack-in by now.

Note that it works with Dual Shock 3 and 4s, and also allows local Multiplay on those PS1 games that support it (and even a few Vita games like Skullgirls).

I love the fact these sales not only apply to my greedy Vita play, but I can also share them with my brother as well locally, so we can relive or old days of co-op play on Chrono Trigger, or Battle Hunter (a classic PS1 favorite of ours).

Man, what a sale. I already had a lot of the PS1 Classics, but here's my haul:

  • Xenogears
  • Dino Crisis 1
  • Dino Crisis 2
  • Mutant Blobs Attack
  • Pixel Junk Shooter Ultimate
  • Tearaway
  • Parasite Eve
  • Suikoden

All for about $20. Love my fuckin' Vita so much sometimes.

what are the chances I can buy a new physical copy of Infamous:SS for $10? I'd much prefer that, but I feel like it's not even sold anywhere but Amazon these days.

The only time I saw it that cheap physical was.... Radioshack.. yeah.

I don't think I've even seen it cheaper in used physical format than like $15.

I think I'm going to pickup Red Dead for $6.00 since I no longer have a 360 and hated Undead Nightmare. Also down for Chrono Trigger and the Devil May Cry collection. Really wish the DriveClub discount was for the game with season pass.

I loved 1942 on the NES, should I pickup the Capcom Arcade Cabinet?

Heard many people talk highly of this on Vita, and respect that Greg Miller and the KF crew love this game, however I have never taken the plunge on a persona game. Is it truly worth it? Or is it too grindy for other etc? Thoughts?

Thanks!

Never played Xenogears or Final Fantasy Tactics before, but I've heard so much about them both. Since neither, to my knowledge, ever actually got released in the UK, now's the time to bite and take advantage of region-free hardware and a price slash... maybe. Both games are probably huge time sinks, and I've got enough to play as it is.

Get it, play it, become addicted to it. Trust me, just get it.

I broke down and bought Xenogears last month after waiting years.

Fuck.

Didn't even get super far because of Xenoblade Chronicles X.

$7 stings.

Do it. Shitty dungeons, but the game more tham makes up for it by everything else.

Worth a try if nothing else.

I started Dino Crisis 1 and i'm ashamed that I couldn't figure out the first "puzzle" in quite awhile. I also couldn't beat the very first dinosaur. Younger me would've destroyed everything but older me is terrible at older games. Please remake with better controls.

Great sale! I grabbed Suikoden, Xenogears and Parasite Eve, all three of which I had been waiting for a sale for a while and I also grabbed Jumping Flash which I couldn't say not to for the price.

I already had Chrono Cross, Tomba and both Dino Crisis otherwise I would've grabbed those too. I almost picked up FF Tactics as well, but I think I'll just wait for the inevitable Steam port of War of the Lions.
