Please be more than the tracing puzzles that has only been shown!!
The tracing puzzles are only the key to inputting puzzle solutions. The actual puzzles are in the environment surrounding the panels.

It's known that the old audio logs have been completely replaced. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/...wandering-through-jonathan-blows-the-witness/
We don't know much about what's in the new audio logs other than the voice actor credits.
Fair point. Didn't mean to imply that it had no depth. Just that I wouldn't be surprised if Blow closed out the game with something like "THE WITNESS IS YOU!"
I really like "The Island of Doctor
Blow."
(And I don't mean in an immature / joke sense, it just sounds good to me.)
It's been years since I played through Braid but I don't remember anything half as obvious as that.
I'm not sure I agree with calling Braid heavy-handed. To me the game's narrative was so strange and esoteric that it didn't meet the minimum level of directness required to be heavy-handed. In fact, my one complaint about Braid is that the diaries were impenetrable, so quite the opposite really.
Really should revisit that game soon.
I really like this one too.The Witness |OT| The Island of Jonathan Blow
H.G. Wells reference for those wondering.

The Witness |OT| 600+ puzzles, some are optional
The title may refer to this:I'm probably being dumb and the answer is already out there, but what do you reckon the title is referring to?
Are we, the player, the Witness?
What are we witnessing exactly, a big event on the island?
Is the Witness another character we meet on the island? Is he or she going to witness me making love to an animal behind a tree?
Is he sending out review copies for this?
Much as In the Aeroplane Over the Sea was a diaphanous ode to Anne Frank, The Witness is a tribute to Helen Keller. The world, even constrained as it is in the game, is too complex to directly describe to someone with no context and a very different set of primary senses than we are accustomed to. By painting the overwhelming bounty of small details that make up this small, contrived reality into rigid, consistent little squares, over time The Witness will gain some sense of what it is to be hahaha jkI'm probably being dumb and the answer is already out there, but what do you reckon the title is referring to?

There are a bunch of wallpapers available in older post on the site, don't know if they are iPhone6-sized though. Nevertheless, here are a few links:Does anyone have a link to some nice iPhone 6-sized wallpapers?
So this game is confirmed 60 fps on PS4?
He's losing it
Can't believe this game was announced almost 3 years ago. Anyway, can't wait to play.
1080p60 was confirmed back in 2014 and I'd be surprised if that's changed. It may be a little unstable, though, as Blow's exact comment was:
Is he sending out review copies for this?
If the price is going to be high enough to piss a subset of people of they will want to just put it up on launch because at least then those playing and enjoying the game dampens that negativity.
The VA is only in english, so the rest are just subtitles. I guess the expense of that depends on the length of the script. I don't think this will be a very speach heavy game. But it is great to see a developer trying to break down the language barrier for audiences not typically considered. (Even supports Arabic, after all)Also fun fact: The game is localized into 15 languages. what the hell

Does anyone know when the iOS release is?
Yup. I saw some footage on YouTube from a 2010 buildI'm not sure when it was announced exactly, but it certainly wasn't 3 years ago at the PS4 reveal event. Jonathan Blow was blogging about it in *2009*. He announced the game not long after Braid was released. So it has been a much longer wait than many people think!

Do we know yet who is the Witness? Is it the player? What are we going to witness?
What do y'all think?
I know nothing about this game except the guy who made braid made this one, a couple of screenshots and that it comes out shortly.
Cannot wait!
Definitely want to do a no-guide play through.
http://the-witness.net/info.htmlYep, I remember when the website url in 2009 would just lead to a white page with the title. I visited that for a long time before it updated!
To be released on multiple platforms whatever makes sense in late 2011, when the game will hopefully be finished.
