This is dope. I wish we could get this image without the "SAMPLE" text.

The beta already had cross platform matchmaking. It'd be a damn shame if the same didn't apply to lobbies or other modes.
We wouldn't be making separate IDs for CFN if it weren't for making playing with other platforms with different account systems simple, not a chance Capcom will drop the ball on that.
lol, too bad it won't carry over from the betayou know im gonna be up at 3 am on launch getting my ID registered lol
Looking back at the negativity from the past few pages, I can't help but scoff at the notion that F.A.N.G is one of the absolute worst characters the Street Fighter series as a whole has known. Yet somehow:
[*]the IV newcomers
and so forth don't come to mind? That's a load of malarkey right there.

- Charlie, R. Mika and Birdie (now even more repulsive thanks to their V redesigns!)
- schoolgirls (one being a bum-worshipping underaged groupie and the other having macaroni hair)
- an American japanophile in tacky samurai armor
- the IV newcomers
- SFEX designs like Skullomania, Area or Blair Dame
- Oro / Twelve / Necro
- Bison's female split personality with a magical scarf
- the holy trinity of Capcom USA's awesome creative input for SF II (DeeJay, T. Hawk and Cammy)

To even suggest that someone like Charlie is a worse design than F.A.N.G is utterly fucking laughable.

V-Trigger weapon for Cody or Eagle or whomever is going to be so dope
Rose, Cammy, and Dee-Jay are awesome.
There is no excuse for not knowing what players want. We live in the internet age. Test the waters and see what social media is saying about your product. I respect Bengus and his art. But we didn't want animation and we didn't want hand drawn stills.
All of which are infinitely superior designs than Fang, you can add all the negative subtexts to every character you don't like, but that doesn't stop a large group of people thinking he's a turd of a design. Except for Deejay, that one is just incredibly racist.
Yup, looks terrible.More like devolved.

I really don't care at this point just hurry up and help fund Street Fighter World Warriors by Joey Ansah and company.
I better be able to get my name, haven't been able to with each beta haha.not disappointed at all - sounds like they're focusing on the stuff i like instead of anime

C. Viper's design was the least offensive, but El Fuerte's was just visually drab (with a goofy name) when comparing him to other new luchadore characters like VF5's. Agreed on Juri having better concept art (multiple even) than her finalized look. Hakan would've been good if they removed the teal barnacle hair and made his red skin less vibrant.SF V has the best newcomers since ST, imo. SFIV the worst:
Hakan, Seth, Rufus are real bad
Decapre & Abel are dull
El Fuerte & C. Viper are pretty well-designed and thematically appropriate for SF
Juri is fine, but her concept art was legit great:
DeeJay is irredeemable.everything apart from deejay preach
Sleeveless bomber jacket (plus no shirt) with built-in shoulder pads in Alpha, that dorky haircut and no socks to go with his shoes. Never mind those clashing colors. Made all the more gaudy with those stitched-on Frankenstein limbs. Seems pret-ty bad to me.To even suggest that someone like Charlie is a worse design than F.A.N.G is utterly fucking laughable.
If we're honestly approving these aesthetics instead of a simplistic kung-fu trope:All of which are infinitely superior designs than Fang, you can add all the negative subtexts to every character you don't like, but that doesn't stop a large group of people thinking he's a turd of a design. Except for Deejay, that one is just incredibly racist.
SF is mostly a mishmash of character designs stolen from kung fu flicks, western pop culture and shounen manga. FANG is just One Piece entering Capcom's plagiarism repertoire.

So, is there any indication of whether a casual/not-that-great player will be able to "afford" the DLC characters using the in-game means, within a reasonable amount of time and effort? Or would I be better off just paying for the season pass? :/

Capcom is not a charity, they are in this to make money. I guarantee you, regardless of how much you play, it won't be feasible to buy multiple characters with fight money. You might get 1 per year maybe.
Now that you say that, FANG reminds me of Jango.
Though he look more lix a mix of Jango and Mercenary Tao.
Not everyone wants EVERY fighting game from now on to copy MKX B-movie style of story telling.

I'm liking the Hori Fighting Commander 4 so far. I'm not sure if there are a lot of other options at the moment.Street Fighter-GAF,
are there any good fightpads out for PS4? I saw a generic Hori gamepad at GS this weekend. Any good?
I really enjoyed my Mad Catz Akuma gamepad for PS3.
Lol at saying oro is a bad design
