A dead pigeon is cooler than Seth
Is a Dead pigeon voiced by the Japanese solid snake though?

pls have pre-fight animations.
But it's not taking anything away to add it. MK9/X still had the traditional endings for each character. At least we get a fleshed out, cohesive plot with, cut scenes, voice acting and personality following the way MK did it.
But, time and budget being an issue, I understand. It just would have been nice.

Like custom ones per certain character match ups? Prepare to be disappointed.
You'll get the canned animations every time, I'm sure of it. Any dreams of 3s-esque unique intros (or SFA-esque selectable win poses) should die this instant. I actually thought such things would be easier with the switch to 3D. :-\

Street Fighter Resurrection will be a good start.
It's weird to me that people put so much emphasis on the story in games. That always takes a backseat to gameplay, the controls, and how well it runs. If I want the best story in the world, I'll pick up a book.

but nobody's asking for that? As far as SFV goes, I think many, myself included, were clinging onto the one tidbit in the old Ken Bogard leak (man, that feels like ancient history). But now we can see clearly that the dream been dead; hindsight and all that. Personally, I'm getting over it and am open to whatever the story mode actually ends up being.

They can do character specific intros with camera angles too, if only the effort put into SFIV's rival battle was put into better use. Every character could have got at least two character specific intros. If only
Problem is that they like the different camera angles so the fighters never enter in the same manner as they did in older fighters.
You must miss out on some pretty great gameplay experiences.
Story should be a huge part, games are entertainment as much as any book or movie.
The best games balance story and gameplay.
I definitely understand people wanting the best of both worlds, but in this case Street Fighter V is definitely being focused on the vs aspect and not the single player experience.
Some might say that this has been happening to many games lately.
Hopefully we will see comics and other media to flesh out the story and more in characters endings and intros as well as DLC character intros and endings, and each season can chance character segments.

The story could be used in so many ways but I doubt they take it anywhere interesting. For example, a lot of people like Necro, and a lot of people think his look is off putting. Since this is pre-SF3, he could be in the game as Ilya, before the experiments fully progressed, and a lot more human looking.
Little ideas like this can make the experience even more memorable. Like others have said you don't lose something by making a compelling story. Many people love these small evolution of characters. I know many people love Sagat's spiritual growth throughout the series. Sagat has a very strong story character arc. That story could be celebrated.

Hot Sagatafter reading SFU #1, and seeing Sagat out of the 4 Kings of Shadaloo I agree.
i hope we see him in 2017 as DLC and has a real aesthetic change to match his new demeanor.

I will never ever understand this kind of thinking. Story is important to me in games, even small little details about a character I appreciate.
I lurk this thread a lot. I know you guys are even more hardcore than me about these characters. I don't think you dumb a thousand hours into learning a fighting game character and don't care about his story just a little bit. I could be wrong.

If its 2D animated with hand drawn stills, then its fine. Its all about priorities with the budget and if Capcom decided that an actually functioning online was a bigger priority than story mode, then I agree.

It's... growing on me.SF5 covert art is amazing you all are crazy.

The LPN video has been taken down...
Put in enough time and all you see is rectangles and numbers

This, from my experience, is completely false. All it takes is a copy of something like Arcana Heart or Koihime Enbu to really disprove that theory.Put in enough time and all you see is rectangles and numbers
Looking back at the negativity from the past few pages, I can't help but scoff at the notion that F.A.N.G is one of the absolute worst characters the Street Fighter series as a whole has known. Yet somehow:
and so forth don't come to mind? That's a load of malarkey right there.
- Charlie, R. Mika and Birdie (now even more repulsive thanks to their V redesigns!)
- schoolgirls (one being a bum-worshipping underaged groupie and the other having macaroni hair)
- an American japanophile in tacky samurai armor
- the IV newcomers
- SFEX designs like Skullomania, Area or Blair Dame
- Oro / Twelve / Necro
- Bison's female split personality with a magical scarf
- the holy trinity of Capcom USA's awesome creative input for SF II (DeeJay, T. Hawk and Cammy)
Sorry, but I don't see it.SF5 covert art is amazing you all are crazy.
I wouldn't call Street Fighter Capcom's premier franchise. Resident Evil and Monster Hunter are much higher priorities.it sure is weird how little Capcom is willing to spend on their premier franchise.
