Is Scott Eastwood really gonna be Dick Grayson in the DCCU?

They got Enchantress for that. I hope she sticks around though. Or you think she's dead, and instead comes back near the end to kick ass.
That could happen depending on how OP the witch part of her is. Either way, I stand by my belief that the 6 in the image I posted will be the Suicide Squad members that survive. Not to mention that they featured the gear of Deadshot, Harley Quinn, & Katana prominently in the special. All 3 of them will be fine.

Looks fun as hell, looks better than BvS and WW for me, I definitely gonna see it.

I'm still not really liking Joker looks but will see.

I'm really confused... I feel like I'm taking crazy pills with all of these responses. Trailer was very "meh" to me. Seemed kinda cheesy. I still certainly don't like The Joker thus far. All the comments saying "this is the best trailer I've ever seen in my life" honestly just completely flabbergast me. I'm not saying it looks awful but I'm not really excited for this at all. To each their own, I guess!

If that's the twist, I can imagine why they wouldn't want to reveal that this early...

That would be cool, his character doesnt have a name on imdb, I wonder if in the movie if someone will say his name.

Maybe he is Nightwing in a flashback in Batman vs Superman

LOVIN' all the gunplay in this

I dunno, I always feel like legit gunfights, even in superheroes films, adds some weight if done right. See Winter Soldier.

I should've been clearer. Enchantress can totally carry over for JLD, but I wouldn't be surprised if whatever has possessed her is the ultimate bad guy at the end, unleashing whatever those monsters are.

Katana, though, I can see getting a fakeout death. She's too cool to not use. Even if she doesn't have an obvious future, it'd be a waste to off her. Or if they do, it should be like... the one death on this team that's genuinely tragic.

I could -totally- see Deadshot dying because why would Will Smith tie himself to a franchise

He kind of went from Fresh Prince to Men in Black, so he skipped the whole 'play villains' portion of his career :p

They're probably just doing the most recent take of deadshot's character being an antihero. And anyways, I think Will Smith's career is starting on that downward spiral ever since he did the shyamalan movie with his son. Might as well jump on the super hero bandwagon and rake in major box office $$$$

MEANWHILE, OVER AT SLASHFILM

We’ll say this much for the burgeoning DC movie universe – it’s already looking a bit unpredictable. We still have no idea what to make of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a movie that appears to have the plots and characters of a dozen separate film jammed into one package, but we’re certainly intrigued by Suicide Squad. Here is a comic book movie that, conceptually, feels like a gigantic left turn. How do you follow up a movie featuring Superman and Batman and Wonder Woman? How about an adaptation of a mostly unknown comic series about B-tier villains teaming up to take down a bigger threat? That’s bold.

If nothing else, director David Ayer seems to be cooking up something that is a distinctly different flavor than any other superhero movie – it looks like an Ayer joint through and through. This grungy slice of weirdness should make for a refreshing break from the Marvel Studios’ movies, which are always cut from similar, Kevin Feige-approved cloth.

Looks about 100x better than BvS. Totally revels in madness and doesn't apologize for it or take itself too seriously.

It's amazing how much this is the case. BvS is just a total snooze-fest to my tastes. While this is my most hyped super hero movie of 2016, or at least tied with Civil War.

Trailer looked awesome. Still think Katana dies, sadly.
It's like I told Razgriz-Specter, no need to get too concerned right now.
  • Katana was featured in the 6-Squad image that I posted earlier.
  • Katana is being promoted quite a bit as one of the main female heroes of DC.
  • Katana's Soultaker Sword was featured alongside Harley Quinn's bat & Deadshot's mask & eyepiece in the CW promotional special.
Barring any potential curveballs, there's little reason to believe that Katana will die beyond concern for a character that you like (which I'm feeling as well for Katana, so you're not alone). But given these facts, Tatsu will probably make it out alive.

Enchantress was a focal point for the first arc of JLD, but that was it. She didn't come back after that. Katana was part of Waller's JLA (her Justice League countermeasure), and then worked with the JLD for a bit during Trinity War.

Her wielding of Soultaker would be perfect as a core team member for JLD.
Bahahahahahahaha

So he really is an MCU fanboy. Good lawd in heaven.

You aren't confused, nor flabbergasted, you're just sharing your opinion in a way that slyly shits on other people.

I'm Neoxon & I approve of this post.

This is going to blow your mind, but I'm just as confused by your comment. This trailer was awesome and hit all the right notes for me! To each their own indeed. It is absolutely impossible to impress absolutely everybody.

Did they cast some kind of capable actor and put him in a Jai Courtney mask, then put that in a Captain Boomerang costume?

I hated Man of Steel and I'm down on Superman Vs. Batman after the most recent trailer, but I'm still really interested in Suicide Squad. Seems like given how weird the concept is and the lack of really big characters in it (besides the Joker) they've gotten more of a chance to try some neat new things you don't really see in the Marvel-verse films.

Either way I hope DC's movie-verse goes well, given character/story-wise I'm a way more into DC and its lore than Marvel.
