Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

Random select.

No. There are three white boxes on the left with a fourth blank next to Birdie. On the right are four white boxes with a fifth blank space next to Laura. One of the boxes is for F.A.N.G,, which rasies the question as to who the other blank space is meant for.

I never use random select so I didn't even know it was in the middle. :-P

If it's a legit 7th character it'll probably be done like KI did their "extra" characters - a free toss in to season pass holders.

If they knew to hide it outside of the data altogether, a Tekken character would make sense. (Hi Nina or Kuma?)

I don't like Halloween alternates. I'm in the minority though. I know most people loved these. If SFV decides to do these I hope it's after the game is almost ready to be retired. This is just my feelings on these troll costumes.

You don't seem to like a lot, but when you do you like MK skins. I don't see how they are troll costumes, that doesn't really make sense.

Options are good, fugly distractions are bad. They should allow limited customization, like you can change the colors of 3 or 4 elements of the character, for example in an options menu you can "set" outfits that are just based on options provided by Capcom... so you can change Ryu's skin tone, belt and gi/bandana colors, but ONLY to whatever alternatives Capcom makes available. This would help avoid crazy looking shit while still deepening the connection between player and character.
However I do agree with this.

A Brazilian guy named X-Kira discovered 7 DLC slots:

Looks like there's a total of six possible rows of six characters each for a total of 36 characters. Seems like they've considered at least another two years of DLC beyond 2016, with seven in 2016, another seven, and another six. Of course, they can always tweak the character select to allow for more characters, as there's clearly room for moving the entire character block one set of squares down.

One thing noted from the guide is the listing on their site says: "*Includes new modes and additional characters for up to one year post game release (2/16/16-2/16/17)."

That means Capcom is going to reveal everyone before the guides come out or soon after in terms on how they look in the game.

I don't think so. It sounds like the physical guide won't have any DLC info. Here's the quote:

the collector’s edition also comes with a free, mobile-friendly eGuide, which will be updated to include frame data, game changes, and the first season of DLC (up to one year post game release).

Thanks.

Is the price worth it? I'm new to this level of fighters so I'm not sure what Sanwa, Hayabusa, Kuro, etc are.

Sorry for the late reply. They are different makes of buttons and sticks. Sanwa and Seimitsu being companies and Kuro and Hayabusa are name Hori uses for it's buttons/sticks.

Sanwa is generally considered the standard, but a lot of people like Seimitsu (Myself included) and prefer it, it's a matter if preference. With the newer Hori sticks and the implementation of the buttons and stick mentioned above they are near the same level of quality. It's really just a preference.

I would go with something cheaper, personally. Maybe a hori rap 4. 230 is a bit steep when you're not sure if you'll like it or even stick with it.

Yeah, I might not have made it clear but if you're new and/or don't know what your preference is the HRAP4 is the way to go. The Hori buttons and stick are pretty solid and if you decide you want to swap them out later it's not difficult or time consuming to do so.

The $230 stick looks really good but the price is steep when you have a $150 alternative. However if you were just going to gut the thing and pop in $60-$70 of Sanwa parts after shipping you might as well just go for the Madcatz.

But yeah new players should probably just snag an HRAP (especially if you can snag a deal, I've seen these go for as low as $100 which is an amazing value). Play in locals or with friends and if they have a stick with other parts (PS3/360 TEs with Sanwa are very common) try them and if you prefer their stick buttons swap the out later.

Yea I saw Murata working on SFV art in one of his stream and he said it was work, not just fan art.

Didn't know it would be PS4 theme though.

I bought a brook ps3 to ps4 adapter without checking its compatibility with my Hori ArcadePro 3 stick.

However I only just read the following list for compatibility:

Activision:DJ HERO
HARMONIX:Rock Bond
GUITAR HERO:GUITAR
HORI:Dead or Alive 5 Last Round arcade stick
HORI:PRO V4
HORI:STEERING CONTROLLER
HORI:FIGHTING ADGE
Konami:Dance Mat
Logitech:G27
QANBA:Q1
Red Octone:GUITAR HERO
MadCats:Round two street fighter 4 stick

Does anyone know if my Hori ArcadePro 3 will work given the ProV4 works (which Im guessing is a newer version of my stick)?
