Any good Karin replays/guides showing how to deal with projectiles and getting in against defensive opponents? I think that was my biggest issue playing as her in past betas.
If they wanted to give us a real reward, each character would have a really vicious setup that can only be used off of a c.HK. Laura has her charged fireball, which is great. Ryu used to be able to link off of his overhead if it was really meaty. Vega gets a free wall claw. As in every other knockdown situation, Bison gets jack shit, though. They buffed most of the casts cr.HK to do from 90 -> 100 damage. Guess they're trying to give players more initiative to using CH sweeps as a punish and/or more rewarding footsies.
Rog using that Tenko uppercut as if that shit was safe lmao.

Anyway, I think that's the best way to move forward, and it creates unique and hype situations, too. I think it's necessary when sweeps are largely punishable.
I just don't think the reward is very good right now. I don't think it would lead to setplay, since no one is going to be able to do repeated hard knockdowns from oki setups. In a game with almost no hard knockdowns, finally getting one is a reward. Either to safely get yourself out the corner, push the opponent into the corner when knocked down (lol bison's forward dash) or various oki. I think their plan was to try eliminate setplay and focus more on a ground game.
Yea to use sweeps you have to commit to them each time.

Also, Bison's forward dash doesn't pass through opponents unless he's in V-Trigger. He can still push people back.
I hear Bison has sick corner pressure in this game via Psycho Inferno.I think people will find varying rewards for it. Meaty attacks being another one.
And Bison can get himself some corner carry then![]()
I don't know who to main :/ I like nearly everyone very much.

Oh wait.
Eh, I'd wait to see how the final game pans out and how the top players are working around it. There's not a lot of specials that are + in close proximity or I can't think of them. I feel like up close you want to fish for CH's with st.HK and other normals instead of depending on specials for pressure. .
I think my issue is that EVERY character in the game has a mix-up option outside of low/grab except for Bison. The tradeoff, as I saw it in Beta 1, was that Bison gets solid chip damage instead. That chip damage isn't as good as a successful overhead, but it made sense as his own way of whittling people down. Now I don't know what the hell he's supposed to do to open people up, since his cheap game is trash.Eh, I'd wait to see how the final game pans out and how the top players are working around it. Check my and his YT channel. There's plenty.show me your laura gameplay.
I think CC sweeps are good enough already. Hard knockdown, a good amount of V-meter gain and decent damage. So for example if your opponent whiffs a DP you have options to either get a max punish or a sweep and gain all the aforementioned. Its a perfect balance currently imo.
Aye.Characters are much easier to learn in 5, so the answer is main *everyone*.
Set some high BP/PP/LP/Whatever P they use goal and get every character there in ranked.

I kind of look at Bison and FANG as being similar character archetypes. Though FANG might have a mix-up in that command dash he has.

Random thing about FANG, his V-Skill poison ball doesn't trade with projectiles lol. I couldn't tell if you block the V-Skill if you'll still be poisoned or not, anyone know?
Ah, a quick question, what are the characters less likely to strain the hands, aka characters who have a gameplay with the less APM ?
With my hands condition, it's sadly becoming a factor for the choice of a character.

I been pre order it from amazon....how can I be apart of the beta?
df.HP looks like an overhead, and it's as slow as one. -_-https://www.youtube.com/user/CountBlackule
Yea I don't know why Bison's DF. HP isn't an overhead while it looks just like one. Maybe they'll slow it down a bit then give it a mid hitting property?probably not lol
I don't see Bison/FANG being anything like each other in the slightest. FANG looks like he's trying to play a keep away game while trying to maximize how much damage he can get from his poison while Bison wants to RTSD.

I hope he becomes a really good zoning character though. Also, his normals remind me of V-Trigger Chun normals with all the double hits.
Maybe Zangief. Just map lariat to a trigger and your good to go.
Why would you suggest a character with 360s/720s?
I'd say Chun li. Relies a lot on godlike normals, she's part charge and charge moves are bit less strain on hands.

So has there been any news about that Linux port?
how do you guys like the Hori RAP4 stick?
it's the only one available here atm.
I know it's way too early for any kind of consensus to develop around the game, but apart from individual preferences, in general does it look like Street Fighter V is shaping up to be a solid, substantial entry? I haven't had a chance to spend any time with it yet, and I'm curious if the overall impression is: "Yes, it's going to be awesome."

It's a very good choice.
great stick.
Dhalsim, requires a fair bit of match-up knowledge though. Birdie arguably also matches your criteria.Ah, a quick question, what are the characters less likely to strain the hands, aka characters who have a gameplay with the less APM ?

V is a lot more focused in its design than IV has ever been, and it's faster paced. Consensus is generally really positive (ignoring those hung-up about combo extravagance) and the netcode has been promising during the beta tests.I know it's way too early for any kind of consensus to develop around the game, but apart from individual preferences, in general does it look like Street Fighter V is shaping up to be a solid, substantial entry? Birdie's got the simplest combos in the game for sure.
