Street Fighter V Beta IV Thread: Jan 30-31

Yeah my first 3 matches were super laggy but once I set the battle settings to 4 bars in above everything has been fine. Heads up guys. The training mode, casual mode, and rank mode all have their own battle settings so you have to set the connection settings for each one.
 
I don't know if it's the PS4 controller or what but playing this is really irritating my thumbs. Definitely switching to fightstick come launch day.

how the hell do you deal with vega? He just does his c.mp into that roll of his. Since it's safe, he can just keep doing it. As a Bison, the only thing I could do was use V-Reversal,not much else.

It's not safe on block. His fastest one is still -6, you just may be out of range with your fast normal(s) if he does it from the right distance

ah those changes were in the last stress test, except for the fireball hurtbox thing I think perhaps
 
I pre-ordered in store at GameStop after the third beta ended and never got a code. Is it supposed to get emailed ? I'm dying 2 play this

I stopped playing I'm going to sleep but the netplay was the worst ever was for me tonight. First and Second Beta netcode was pretty solid but 4th Beta 75% of the matches had terrible netplay. Some were downright impossible to play.

I.will try the 5 bar thing tomorrow night.
 
You guys complaining about net code must have terrible internet. Or playing on WiFi.

I can count on one hand how many laggy matches I've had since connection settings was added.
 
Im turning off the cross platform play, every connection to PC users has been complete shit.

Edit: I did have 5 bar only set in the options.

The netcode is fine, you're probably just getting bad connection matches.

My first match was against a BR and it was pretty much SF5 rainbow edition and I have fiber, wired of course. The moment I set the 5 bar filter though everything is flawless.


Anyone know if there's any followup after Ryu st.HP crush counter? In CC punish situation st.HK seems better in every way.
 
Just had a match where both of us were using the same character and the same color.

Yeah. Every beta match has been fine for me as long as it's not between two different continents.
 
Tried a little bit, game seems really fun but it doesn't recognize my ps3 brawlstick that I used for everything. If it's not supported in the release I don't think I can play this unfortunately

If you're on PC, it's just the beta that doesn't recognize all input devices.

If you're in PS4 rip in peperonis

UK here and all my matches have been against players from Europe and the US. 5 bar filter hasn't let me down yet.
 
Oh man, I just played a mirror match where both characters had the same outfit color and judging by the general confusion in that match this certainly wasn't on my end only.
