Spent a little over 2 hours with the PS4 version and I'm glad there was a beta. Was initially going to pick this up but the gameplay is clunky, story is generic, graphics are ugly. Doesn't feel like it's maintaining a solid 30 FPS, could just be that the clunky mechanics are throwing it off.

This doesn't look "amazing"

And yes, that is my screenshot

I can find bad looking places even in most amazing looking games out there.
it's from beggining in the game, play some more. City is really great and there are some really good weather effects.

The shooting looks extremely mediocre from watching videos. I still kind of want to try the game because the PC version does look pretty and the dark zone sounds somewhat interesting.

Still, if the gun play is as bland as it looks the game is going to have some trouble taking off.

You can actually hop walls to get into the DZ rather than go through the doors... supposedly. Haven't actually tried myself :)

Yep, there's actually 3 entrances in to the Dark Zone. The first one you're directed to, the second is further along 6th Avenue and is also a vendor type safe area like the first entrance but carry on a little further down 6th Ave and you'll come to this.
Once you hope over you're about a block away from the extraction point on top of the multistroy car park.

I must say I'm impressed with the darkness zones. I figured that they would be free for alls but there seemed to be a good mix of helping and harming in my experience. I even had an occasion where a guy was rogue but nobody killed him because he accidentally went hostile and didn't continue to act hostile.

1 story mission. Definitely the whole story..... Turn your sensitivity up for controls. Would be kinda of nice to have the cover and jump over cover be the same button but overall the game controls fine. Once again, turn your sensitivity up.

Sorry if dumb question:

Can you approach another random player and join up/team up with them?

In both SP and DZ? Thx

in the story/pve zone, you can walk up to players in the hub areas otherwise you can chose to matchmake into the pve zone. You can also matchmake for the mission as well. Dark zone you walk up to players and can invite them to your squad via the party management.

Hoping NVIDIA puts out their performance guide for the beta so we can view all their comparisons between settings, but probably going to have to wait for full release. What settings are you guys seeing that's the most performance demanding?

Wait for the final game, I remember people in the Beta of Siege where the same, helpful and respectful, after the full game released, people where going full ass mode, because the game is available for everyone then.

I really don't know how some of you enjoy games when you some people seem absolutely disgusted at these screen shots.

I'm totally loving the atmosphere of this game.

Good point. I don't have much faith that it won't turn into a full on PvP area, but I am pleasantly surprised for now.

Bit on the gold edition on xbox. Fuck it.

Funny enough, the part that put me over the top was that I found a door that I could open that entered a random building. I was happy to know there would be at least some amount of buildings to enter.

Me neither, but I know what you mean, seen the same, sometimes you are shooting someone by mistake and people leave you alone regardless. Let's see how it is when it is released in March.

How can i know in game if my mic is working? Is there any indicator like in COD etc?

I dont think so :/ There's only one indicator when one of your party member talks.

Guys how do you get out of the dark zone? The door behind the vendor is locked

At what point can ubisoft start getting into trouble for this behavior they have. Its pretty much every game now. Looks stunning at e3, game comes out, sever downgrade, even for pc. I mean, this is borderline false advertising.

There's two vendors first by base which is main entrance
Second by new section that is locked

just wait until the full game and you go into a level 30 dark zone (the entire dark zone resets at max rank and becomes a level 30 zone) People are gonna be real careful during that time in my opinion. Dark zone will evolve over the levels. When people have the really good shit at the end game, people will live and die over it in the DZ.

Played it on PC
Runs decent 55-60 on pretty much everything on high, some shadows on medium some lighting effects on ultra
Plays like a generic console cover based shooter
Looks like a video game from 2015
The world feels empty
Haven't been to the dark zone
closing doors is lackluster and worse than in the 2013 demo
Also seems like the apologists are already out in full force

DZ will be interesting to see how it will evolve in the full game, sounds interesting nonetheless.

Lol, when McDonalds starts getting in trouble for making those burgers on the commercials they run look 10 times better than anything you'll ever get from an actual location.

Fact is,there's enough gameplay out in the wild so you know exactly what your getting when you buy. So there's really nothing for them to get in trouble for.

Played it a little bit on PC, game is pretty nice I must admit, but my GPU is going mad, when having almost everything on Ultra.
Using an MSI GTX 980Ti. Playing at 1080p@60fps. Lot of customization in this game, that is nice actually.

Yeah i have a 980ti too and at 1440p with everything on ultra the GPU stays at 99% all the time ^^.

So guys, now that it's also available for PS4. How does it stack up against Xbox One? I don't think the resolutions have been confirmed yet, but does it look and perform a bit better on PS4 or is there a significant difference?

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.
Everyone complains about the graphics and i'm playing it on the lowest setting with 21-30 fps for almost 5 hours now and i really enjoy it :p

i don't fully understand the dark zone. i went there to see what it was about a group of 3 started shooting at me, i shoot back, kill two, and it says i disavowed the division and have been marked as rogue and then somebody else kills me. meanwhile i'm all confused like ??? was i not supposed to return fire and protect myself???

I have had no interest in this game but I did received a code so I'm going to try it out tonight

I have one question, all of this screenshots I have seen so far shows an snowy environment, is the game going to have dynamic seasons, or we are going to be always on winter?

I've been genuinely impressed by how the visuals have progressed from the Alpha. Game looks good and the atmosphere it creates is great. Still not really sold on the game, unfortunately.

Yeah I just don't like how DZ is implemented. Ran into a group who was just rogue 24/7 mowing down anyone and everyone. After they would extract their stuff they'd leave the DZ in order to toggle off the "rogue". Then walk back in without having markers and camp another extraction point. I just don't understand what this game is trying to accomplish by marking people but making it so that you get a penalty when recognizing one of those guys and then pre-emptively shooting them.

I already started to recognize names yet if I shoot at them first I'm penalized and then am hunted by randoms who have no idea what happened previously. Not my cup of tea. Like a previous poster said there should be some tracking info that even if it isn't visible immediately, if you know the people who are always "rogue" you should be able to gun down on sight without being penalized. Especially if they killed you previously while you were a "non-hostile agent".

Pointless to play solo when as a group of 4 all you literally have to do is go from extraction zone to extraction zone and catch people. Another game that would benefit from separate player pools of "groups" and "solos". Oh well.

I'm curious too, is it only playing in winter ?

It's coo so far. I've ran into a bug where the red tint stays on your screen after being revived which is really annoying. Thankfully I found a work-a-round to fix it (almost dying, backing off, and popping a medkit).

Also, Jarvis AI voice is too damn loud and I still can't find a way to lower his volume compared to the rest of the game.

you do but i you kill your attacker you get marked as rouge, its a bit confusing at first but once you get it it can be really tense getting away
