Yep. Every match pretty much plays out the same except for mirrors. I think I'll try Mika too :v
 
If you play against a Mika called Buttsecs or something like that, bail. Worst lag I've had so far this weekend. All of a sudden she was next to me grabbing me and shit. How am I supposed to win if I can't see shit?

I tick throw all day. Welcome to 1992, bitches.

I usually do st lk off a blocked jump in. If they block the lk I go for her kick grab. Include mix ups so you don't always go for that setup, but that gets the dragon punches flying, which means it's time for that wingless plane to fly!

As for her CA, please be aware that you can combo into it, meaning you can hit confirm into it. Some easy setups are standing mp x2 or standing mp, standing hp.

I think as much as any character in this game, Mika requires you to read your opponent throughout the entire match. As an example, I was testing one opponent's reactions to block strings and he kept punishing me after my 2nd normal. So with the game on the line and me in the corner, I did a st mp, st fp block string, purposefully buffered a super late so it would give me a frame or two to see if he was going to punish, then I hit punch as soon as I saw that attack coming out. I could feel the salt.
 
How do I disable fights in Training mode? I always turn it off in the Main Menu, but every single training session I have, I get matches constantly. I JUST WANT TO TRAIN.

The only way I heard to disable search is just do dummy recording, basically choose who you want as 2p and start recording and you have 2 minutes till you have to start recording again.

I don't know why I find these posts so amusing. You can train in the full release, don't worry. This beta is not for training mode, they know training mode works. :P

Foward heavy punch linked to Shoryuken is good for punishing and reliable. Or just regular heavy punch canceled into Shoryuken. Practice the timing a few times in training and you'll have it.

Once you get the hang of that you can get more off of it.

For starters stop jumping. Also like every grappler in Street Fighter you have to zone them out. And you need to AA from the ground
 
Years of having 2-3 jabs to confirm into a medium left a mark. I got these double jab punishes into nothing down if nothing else
 
Maybe it´s my imagination or I got used to it... but they they fix the crazy hair of some characters? I haven't seen it doing crazy stuff like in the last betas lol
 
Rashid has awesome anti airs. Cr.MP, EX Spin, V-Trigger, Super. So freaking fun. And he builds meter by the boatload so I always have a super on deck.
 
I've learned that I'm awful with everyone, especially Karin, but goddamn if I'm not having fun playing her.

Anyone know some good combos or vids? I know Floe is a beast with her and was doing a tutorial on stream, but I can't seem to access any Twitch vods at all.
 
omg fuck Necalli. I baited him into his charge headbutt, I did Mika's super, it... whiffed.... despite being within range of a normal grab.
 
Played as laura, zangief, dhalsim, nash and rashid so far. Did okay with laura. Had no idea how to play dhalsim or gief at all and ended up getting blown up. Nash and Rashid are fucking crazy strong, I decimated with them.

On to necalli.
 
alright, done with the beta. around 2k points you get into the rage quit tier.

really unfun for me to be able to take these guys down who are 10+ levels, 100 more points and then they just pull the cord.

oh well
