The only thing worse than a laggy Claw is a Laggy Sim

I just feel like dying
this is no way to play Street Fighter
i feel like i'm fighting my hands and my opponent
Doing it all the time, doesn't work for me. Wil try cr.HP
What does that mean? Haha. I don't think I've ever played a laggy Cody.

When I play against Ryu and throw out that move DP beats me every time. Is he doing the forward or back version?
Hope the ranking system in the full game is better at matching than in their betas...
Has nothing to do with lag.
It's just constantly people hitting buttons and doing whatever they want. It feels incredibly hard to punish anything in this game, and it seems it always boils down to whoever can apply pressure/go nuts first.
It's stupid. I'm not even having fun when I win anymore.
Help jumps backwards
I have had some laggy matches so I decided to use the passive match find feature because you can set it to ask you and you can see the connection and after setting it to 5 only I got 1 5 bar match, 1 3 bar match and 10+ 1 bar matches.
Cool fucking game.
Is FANG in, yet?
jump back roundhouse is your answer
How do you combo into Vega's super from CT? I've gotten it a few times but generally can't do it reliably. What's the right timing?
7pm ptWhen time does the beta end today?
7pm pt
I still need this question answered:
SFV Vega newbie here. (Played him a lot in SFIV though) Can someone tell me the purpose of ASE? (qcd+p) It appears to be a super slow start up move with crappy range. What is it for?
Yup.Is FANG the only character missing from the launch lineup?

So atfer this last beta, how much Fight Money will new characters, costumes and colours cost?
I'm a little over 20k now in just 3 days, which makes me think that it'll be either way more than that or they change the economy completely for the final release.
Yup.
BTW, R.Mika has 2 Command Throws but the Punch Throw does more Damage and Stun than the Kick Throw... so is there
any advantage for using the Kick Throw ?
Rainbow Typhoon (punch) throws opponent to otherside while Brimstone (kick) keeps opponent on the same side. So you might want to use Brimstone if you want to keep your opponent in the corner etc.
Bison is still really good, looking at people who know how to play him. Bit of a placebo effect going on due to the all the nerfs he received. Was he using Bison? Viscant mains Bison. Also, I had the server quit on me once yesterday during the first round of a match. That's always a possibility.
Does anyone know the frame data on Dhalsim's quickrise? I'm going to assume that he quickrises the fastest of all the characters because I've had it happen with every Sim where I knock him down, I do my meaty on his wakeup, and he quickrises and mashes Jab or even does his slide on wakeup where it beat my meaty.
Too early for Tier List? Here's mine for shits 'n giggles:
A: Chun Li, Cammy, Nash, Birdie.
Reasoning: they all have really good buttons, good damage, have gimmicks (especially Birdie), and don't really seem to have any bad matchups except Birdie vs Sim.
B: Ryu/Ken, Karin, Rashid, Vega, Laura, Necalli, Dhalsim.
Reasoning: all good characters but they have to be played a certain way. With the A tier characters, you can play however you want. B tier is a little trickier and excluding Ryu/Ken/Sim, they're mostly about getting in and frame-trapping.
C: Bison, Mika.
Reasoning: they both do great damage and have tricks/gimmicks. But, they have a hard time getting in and they both have bad crossups. I'd like to see these characters receive a few buffs (fast walk speed for Bison, Mika's EX Peach having startup invincibility and forward MK having extended range). Plus their V-Skills are worthless in most matchups. Mika's in particular is all but worthless because it takes too long and the instant she gets hit she loses the buff.
D: Zangief.
Terrible character. Gets zoned out by everyone. Slow as hell. V-Trigger has to be done at mid-screen in order to catch a zoner (unlike Birdie who can just throw down a coke can, a Banana, or build V-Trigger). Slow anti-airs. Can be hit out of his command grabs. Grab super has horrible range. I am very confident in saying he is the worst character as of Beta 4.
Save the replay through your Fighter Profile, open it in the CFN menu and record it via something like Open Broadcast Software. Is there a way to extract the replay to youtube from the game? I favorited the replay I want and I can see it on my CFN menu, but how do I extract it to video file?

If there where a "12 stages of grief" for fighting games, I'm sure this would be one of them.
Phase 5: "There's something wrong with this brand new game that no one on Earth has mastered. It couldn't possibly be my lack of knowledge or experience. Nope, it's gotta be the game."
TheDictator_420 was a bison with green costumeLove how on point some of these player names are. A Gief named "SUPLEX_CITY" and a Karin named "Ojou-sama".
Bullshit. They've changed plenty of stuff based on feedback from people who got to play it for a couple of days at a time, Capcom clearly disagrees that the game is this immaculate conception that can't be criticized until we all have more than 500 hours into it.

Birdie struggles against a true zoner like Dhalsim too. The can and banana do little to prevent him to continue poking from afar, or use V-Skill to avoid / punish a common set-up with Birdie's dive grab, or simply teleport behind him on reaction if Birdie doesn't do this on knockdown. Zangief's CA grab having short range makes sense; 0 frames start up as well as able to be comboed, even if it's something as straight-forward as c. LK + c. LK. Zangief's standing jab anti-air is pretty decent (and fast) from what I've heard and he's no joke against players who know his priorities and know when to use which armor move, never mind his forward dash actually being respectable now. Sincerely doubt he's the worst character.
How can someone put R. Mika in C Tier? She has so many tools, and just destroys when she gets in.
I think Bison is really hard to judge right now. I've found that I do better when I don't use Scissor Kick. It's just not that good in this game. Instead, I've been playing footsies with Psycho Blast a lot. My main concern about him is just that he has no real offensive game plan. He's pure defense. Scissors put him in a bad position on block. His dash is really predictable. None of his pokes are great. He doesn't have good up-close pressure. He is the ONLY character in the game with no overhead or command grab. He's just pure spacing and footsies. Maybe that'll work out for him, but I'm really skeptical that it works. The only time we saw Bison at the Madcatz Cup was vs. Dhalsim, which is a matchup that I've thought was a clear counterpick since day 1. I think he benefits from early game play because people won't stop pushing buttons, which makes him seem stronger than he is (even ComboFiend couldn't keep himself from mashing on oki...).
I've seen it used for two things:
1) On oki, it is a good attack to create space if you got knockdown on a grappler and want a mixup, but don't want to stay in their face.
2) The EX version had full startup invincibility in Beta 2, making it an extremely good anti-air. I'm not sure if it still has that property.
If there were a "12 stages of grief" for fighting games, I'm sure this would be one of them.
Phase 5: "There's something wrong with this brand new game that no one on Earth has mastered. It couldn't possibly be my lack of knowledge or experience. Nope, it's gotta be the game."
It can be criticized.
And, those criticisms can also be 100% wrong.
They usually are.
Remember these golden oldies?
"Nash sucks!"
"Chun Li sucks!"
Turns out players were actually the ones who sucked. It happens all the time.
It will take months to truly understand how this game is meant to be played, and only then can peeople start making definitive statements about something being "fundamentally wrong with the game's meta". The FGC never learns this, even though the lesson is taught over and over and over again...
