Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

I don't known if you can answer this but is that poison ball thingy still projectile invincibile and how long does it stay on he screen?

I actually don't know the first answer, because I played as him in training, and against him as someone without a projectile. It flies very slowly, and seemed to stay there until it hit something or just went away. I'm not remembering for certain, but I definitely remember never actually seeing it dissipate.

Didn't notice too much difference between this build and beta. I REALLY should have looked for P2 breast bounce, but didn't.

Ugh...from what I've seen he can have up to 3 projectiles on screen at a given time..yay. 😐😐 Thanks for the answer though..😊

Sorry, I meant his V-Skill projectile. I don't remember his normal one fading out either, though. Seems to arc and then either hit someone or the ground.

I played as and against FANG today. I already hate him. *heh*

Can you tell me what the inputs are for what specials you remember?

It sounded like his double arc projectiles are D/U (P or K?) charge, his lunge was B/F charge + P, the ground poison smoke was B/F charge + K? I haven't heard what the inputs were on his command dash, prone stance or CA were though. Was wondering if we'd get a charge CA or if everyone had motion CAs.

What characters did you try out?

Well, the problem was, I got to the event late, so I really only have 15 minutes or so of hands-on with the game just for fun. So, I tried to use my time to check out FANG (since he was the only roster choice I'd never touched). After that, it was a game editor's tournament, so my attention was focused on trying to win. *heh*

Is his moves list known? I remember it.

I saw the slow moving ball and him being able to spit other things at you in an arc . I was hoping the ball would dissipate after a while like Birdies banana

V-Skill has no actual collision hitbox, you have to learn to ignore it and "TAKE THE POISON!"

You still get poisioned on block? O.o

"You still get poisioned on block? O.o"

Unless they changed his V-skill from the initial reveal, yes. But, it gives no block or hit stun, so you can just walk or attack through it.

I haven't been paying much attention to SFV because of work, but I have a new stick coming and the PC version pre-ordered, so I'll be ready to go. In SFIV, I mained Balrog and was inspired by Japanese player ice0age. I liked heavy rushdown style and taking advantage of Balrog's strong normal moves for footsies. Which SFV character would best fit that playstyle?

Okay got it ...get in his face and stay in face..the charts say he has the least life in the game so shouldn't be to bad ..

Okay, here's his moves list:

Uniques
Down + 3P = He goes prone on the ground
- K early during prone does a bicycle-type kick that gets him back on up and hits opponent
Down Forward + P = A two-hit combo I think it was

Specials
Down, Up + Punch = Arcing projectile
Back, Forward + Punch = Sliding thrust hit thingy (kind of like Rose's DP + Punch)
Back, Foward + Kick = Poison mist cloud
DP + Kick = Dash (couldn't figure out any kind of attack follow-up, maybe just a dash)

Thanks, shidoshi!

I don't think that's correct, the SF websites (both US and JP) say he has average health (equal with ryu, so I'm assuming 1000). His lowest stat is Power.

Thanks! What I expected for the most part. I'm not sure if I'd prefer DP or QCF on the command dash, but I guess either one works. Do you remember the input for his CA?

Damn it you're right...was looking at power instead of health..dah well.. I'll have to wait and see

I was trying to remember. I really want to say it was qcf + K, but it could have been P.

That's okay, I'm more interested in the main input (whether it was motion like the rest or if they were going to do any charge CAs). I would have liked for FANG to be fully charge-based including the CA, but I had a feeling they were just going to use QCF x 2.

Weird question but, since it was the final build of the game, if they ever went to the main menu did you see if the "Battle Lounge" was an option that was still grayed out?

Sorry, not sure. We were in Versus pretty much the entire time, and they didn't have anything hooked up to online, so I didn't really go poking around.

A charge character that can't rushdown in a game about rushdown so he has to use poison?

I'm okay with this.

I actually am not sure about him not being able to rushdown. He has a command dash, a fast forward moving hitbox that knocks down, a bunch of pretty dangerous looking normals and EX ground poison which might really add to corner lockdown. The longer you block the longer you bleed out, too.

He did but what with the dearth of footage of Fang I'm assuming people were interested in details about moves, especially stuff like his command dash and duck.
