Street Fighter V |OT| V-Triggering salt since '16

Triggered is a doubling down on never even trying to lift up this community from the depths it has sunk to when it comes to using rape as an analogy of winning. I do not like it.

Can you at least tell us how bad Ken is then..

Karin's moveset is interesting but her design is basically a school girl so I don't know what's more interesting about that. She's a better version of Sakura though who is plain as shit yet has a billion fans.

School girl doesn't necessarily equal uninteresting. I think she's got a great personality, while Maki is fairly bland in comparison. Also Sakura is not plain at all, even though I'm no big fan of hers.

Oh, I didn't know "Triggered" had such a bad connotation, I thought it was just a little joke for when someone gets irrationally mad, in this case salty, at something like losing. (English isn't my native language)

It's actually supposed to be a term for people who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and a certain sound, smell or other sensory response "triggers" their disorder and causes extreme emotional stress.

Didn't know that, thought it was an anger trigger.

Don't worry about it, it's pretty much what it has become. Personally I like Street Fighter V |OT| Triggered.

Yeah, "Triggered" should not be the OT title. If you want to be juvenile then at least use something sillier and less offensive. A 16'er joke would be more suitable (even if it pokes fun at new players who even anything should be helped not made fun of).

I see, thanks for the brief explanation.

Again, I ignored the negativity surrounding the term, so I guess it's time to look for another OT title.

V-triggered is silly, I agree, but the more people I see upset or turned off by it the more attractive it is to me lol. Fighting games put people emotionally on tilt, it's super satisfying.

Labeling a player base 09'ers or 016'ers is just straight dumb. There will always be people new to the game. It's what we want. New people to continue to join the game. Giving them a negative connotation for the year they were new to street fighter is not smart. Don't do that. Words already exist for that.

If you are talking about my topic title recommendation it was not meant as an insult to new players, why do you assume it is a negative connotation? I don't like those terms being used the way they are usually used either.

Saying someone is a 09er isn't inherently negative. It's only a negative when they say/do scrub things.

How about instead of a '16er/'09er joke, we go with something that refers to the old timers coming back for V who didn't care much for IV?

Street Fighter V |OT| Welcome back, '91ers.
