Am I seeing things or is it actually $20 cheaper to get "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth" and "Megadimension Neptunia VII" cheaper via PSN than retail? This has gotta be a bug or one of the first times the digital version is substantially cheaper.

Kind of a shame where I live now my net is so unstable.

Are you talking about Vita games or PS4 games, if it's vita games then it's actually quite normal.

Toukiden Kiwami, Trails of Cold Steel for example are all $50 retail but $40 on PSN, no tax on the psn as well.

Sometimes publishers doesn't bother to set the prices differently and sometimes they do, it's weird.

I don't think the price differences should be exclusive to vita games. All I'm saying is that it happened before so it's not really something *that* special

So uhh I bought a few Blu-Ray movies from Best Buy on Boxing Day and finally got around to opening Edge of Tomorrow and there is a DVD inside, no blu-ray......uhhh what

It came shrinkwrapped and upon further inspection the security stickers that you usually find across the top and side are absent

Can't wait to see how Best Buy replies to my e-mail

Since Shomi finally got their app out on PS4 I'm giving the free trial a shot. A few loading quirks here and there but otherwise it looks nice and slick. I also like the fact for tv shows when it's taking a few seconds to load it has a title screen like "Shomi [episode title]" Don't know if I'll keep it once the trial is over since Netflix has way more content. Just sucks they have a deal with FX for all their shows.

Shomi has some weird issues. The Apple TV app doesn't have the Shomi Later list (your list of favorited shows or movies). The platform also does not have an autoplay feature, which is really annoying when watching a tv show. Issues of the app forgetting what episodes you have watched and the place in the stream you may have paused are also minor issues.

I do use the platform a lot recently because it has content on it that isn't available on Netflix and Netflix hasn't really added anything I want to watch recently.

Managed to get codes for AC Syndicate Season Pass, Arkham Knight and Rise of the Tomb Raider with the 970 I bought on Black Friday.

Didn't even know this was a thing; think I could've gotten AC Syndicate or Rainbow Six too but that's expired now.

The controller, itself, looks pretty nice by itself. It'll be interesting to see how it looks in person, and that will help me decide as to whether to buy it or not.

Nintendo's Parts Store has FINALLY stocked some new 3DS faceplates, including the much sought after Glow in the Dark Boo cover plate! They also have Majora's Mask, the Kanji "Ambassador", Mario Maker etc. Some are as high as $21.49 (shipping is $7). Steep, but where else are you going to get em outside of importing, I guess.

I don't even have a n3DS (still rocking my OG purple one) but I want those Ambassador plates. ._.

I got a call from some guy claiming to be part of a war on drugs charity. I forget what it was called, and I think I remember him stopping by my place last year and asking for donations. I thought he was kind of shifty then, and he was on the phone too.

He read his spiel in a really weird manner, complete with fake laughing. Then he said that lots of donors usually pledge $200-400. I told him I'm unemployed and can't plus won't do that, and his response was, "Sure, you can at least do that." I then hung up.

The nerve of some people. This is up there -- but not as bad as -- the people who keep calling about duct cleaning, even though we tell them to fuck off, and the people who keep calling saying my Windows computer has a virus, whom I tell to go die in a ditch.

Yeah you probably have to go in-store for that. Not much you can do since you're outside the return period and they don't accept opened physical media. Best you can hope for is an exchange or credit on a gift card.

The duct cleaning people are annoying but we just tell them we live in an apartment building (which is true, but also wasn't at one point) and they're always like "oh...uh...okay....have a nice day.".
