GameSpot: FE Fates will have face rubbing under certain conditions in the West

can I still do this

fire_emblem_fates_features_dialogue_2.jpg

This 240p underboob is sexy as fuck. :/

It is an extreme example, but the point made was people shouldn't be complaining about this.

"I don't care about this feature but the attitude towards video game features offending people is hysterical"

So, it seems there actually is a line. Where is that line? Well as it happens I draw the line at creepy shit like touching faces.

So disagree if you want, but lets not pretend it should be a non issue to everybody.

I'd be fine with anything anime, really. Face rubbing, head patting, hand holding, toast in mouth running... It just adds a little bit of fun to the game.
Rape isn't exactly what comes to mind when I think of something like KyoAni's shows.

No I wouldn't be cool with, but I wouldn't buy nor play the game. However, we both that's a silly what if. Do you think face petting leads to rape? If yes, I don't think you should be playing video games.

This type of response doesn't breed worthwhile discussion because rape isn't even relevant to this thread.

Good luck finding that in any kind of thread like this.

Can't wait for the game to release so we can find out what it actually is and how often it happens. If it's the full thing for your SO or of its just for 1 event.

This has been one enjoyable ride.

I was warned:

Apparently not the fire emblem games.

This only gives free advertising to the game and Nintendo knows this. That said, this localization has been hilarious from beginning to now.

Is skinship a real word/term?

skinship
In Japan and Korea, the term "skinship" is used to describe the intimacy, or closeness, between a mother and a child. Today, the word is generally used for bonding through physical contact, such as holding hands, hugging, or parents washing their child at a bath. The earliest citation of this word appears in Nihon Kokugo Daijiten in 1971. (from Wikipedia)

I want to huzbando the blonde-haired lantern-jawed man, and waifu the pink-haired maid

but don't tell lucina
's boots

i already called felicia the moment she did her "eh? ah? uwa!" routine in one of the JP promo videos

i'm sorry

Granted, she doesn't sound as cute in the English version, but love transcends vocal cords

Eh, it's all a shadow of what it could've been

Namely, a boot-polishing simulator

Tap the screen to polish Lucina's boots

On the contrary, I hate her JP voice, but really like her English voice.

I don't think I've ever heard a Japanese female VA that didn't make my ears bleed

I really like a lot of Female JP VAs in this game. Oboro is a character that I initially found sounded odd but her voice eventually won me over. Flora, Azura, and Camilla all have great voices as well.

I still want to hear more about the cultural phenomenon sweeping Japan where you wipe your hand all over your coworkers' faces in order to improve morale.

You don't really hear about a "cultural phenomenon" in Korea or Japan because it's just normal between friends (or comrades, especially in the South Korean army) to physically touch each other (non sexually, of course) as a sign of friendship. Handshakes, hugs, etc. More common in same-sex skinship dealings, but yeah.
My time living in Korea was just that, really. It was pretty jarring for me to come to America and everyone's like "bro no homo though"

Those are just signs of friendship, why is that being compared to this mini-game?

I was warned:

Yet you still haven't addresses the direct question to you. People might have fun taking an absurd starement out of context and posting gifs.

But do you have a line you draw at videogame content or not? If you do, your statement that complaining about videogame content is hysterical is incorrect. You should respect people who don't want this feature, optional or not, in games they might otherwise enjoy.
