DRIVECLUB Feb 2016 Update Details (The City map update)

Different people have different excitements about this update..

THIS IS MINE!!!!! FINALLY!

"Multiplayer Private lobbies have a new 'Photo mode' setting to help you choreograph photos and videos with friends. This disables ghosting, wrong way timers and automated reset to track scenarios."

It'll be like like Need For Speed 2... time to start driving 20 or so feet off track...lol.
 
I guess when you complain about new content as a player it might be a sign it's time to move on to a new game. I'm fairly new so I always get excited about added content.
I feel like dancing. Think of the new guys who just purchased they're getting a hell of a bargain.

Also, an old, rainy Scottish town rather than New York, Paris or Tokyo? I don't know who is making the decision behind the scenes at Evolution but I love that man.

As it mentions in the game updates notes we've actually worked on this area to improve dynamic precipitation. Expect much more natural random behaviour e.g. it could be dry the entire race (were previously that would have been extremely unlikely).
 
This game..

I had a really hard time trying to like it but with all these updates and stuff I just can't dislike it or regret buying it even if I'm not currently playing it I'm sure I'll really like it when I get back to it. Love the way they keep supporting it.

Sounds great. Can you give us any more info on other city tracks for future updates maybe. Also please do a season pass 2, pretty please.
 
The update is going live tomorrow, does that mean the new city tracks will be already usable, or will they be unleashed only when the add-ons are available on the store?
 
The best thing about Driveclub is the insane amount of content. It is the only season pass (excluding Telltale-style episodic games) that has really delivered.

The worst thing is that if you buy it now (I got it around Christmas) then you'll spend fucking ages adding all the dlc items, since the PSN store is absolutely terrible at letting you download all your stuff. It treats your 'free' items as if they were actual purchases.
After spending way too much fucking time downloading shit, I had over 50 emails from PSN saying "confrmation of your purchase".

This update came as a surprise though. I thought they were done with free/season pass updates (at least for the car mode).

Yeah Sony needs to work on that, iirc there are like 100+ DLC items for DC, it's a hellish nightmare to grab them all lol.

The track will be available to drive with both cars and bikes tomorrow.

Only the new paid expansions will you have to wait for until the 23rd (they're not included as part of the season pass - that ended in July 2015).
 
To every developer out there... THIS IS HOW YOU SUPPORT THE GAMING COMMUNITY!!!

Sorry to shout but yeah, no yearly games, but a core game and nothing but support. It is a must have if you own a PS4, and if you don't own a PS4 then but it for this!

Old Town - Edinburgh so hopefully get a Mound type based course!

I had no problems adding the free dlc in the web store, ten at a time.

Update looks cool. I recently went back to Driveclub as I still don't have all stars. The game just grips you, so much fun over either a shorter or longer play session. Would throw down money for more content for as long as Evo make it!

Usable in single events and multiplayer from tomorrow when the update is live, events on the new tracks on the 23rd.

Thank you! Only real negative for me was how much it rained in all the races once that update was added.

So Rushy being candid - are you guys off the naughty step and looking to dev a game that isnt DC? Really hope Sony have noticed what the fans have been saying and realise that its a waste of talent to not utilise you guys for something else - its not like DC as a service wouldnt happen side-by-side...

P.S. No you cant go location scouting like you did for MS:PR :p

Is there any really good paid dlc I should buy? (that is not included in the season pass)

With the season pass you have everything except the Bikes expansion and a couple paid cars that can be earned in-game anyway.

So, Bikes :)

I feel this game is worth full retail. I jumped in about a month ago and plan on spending more money to support this well developed product. I feel guilty I got it so cheap which is rare for me with games. It's an amazing product that meets all my expectations and then some. I've gotten more than my monies worth. Good luck racing on those rainy tracks.

Neat, thanks! Eager to see what's up next for Driveclub and Evo in the near future...a new Motorstorm would be smashing ;)
 
Lack of another season pass is a bit disappointing, but I suppose I should have expected this when "Driveclub as a service" was first uttered. I shouldn't complain though, as I've not even finished all the content that came with the pass they did offer. Great support all around, Evo.
 
As cool as this is, I don't want to purchase anything piecemeal and find out a season pass 2 will come out later and include this. I'm super happy for the free updates, though!

This right here. I love this game so much and the avalanche of new content since release has been amazing. I say this as someone who was initially annoyed by the situation at launch and delay of the PS+ demo. Evolution's work to fix the situation made me change my tune and I can't get enough Driveclub! I would do terrible things for a season 2 pass... ;) This is easily the best money I've spent on a game in a very long while and I'd love for it to keep going.
 
I knew it that Suzukis (GSX-R 1000 at leastk will come sooner or later. I beg for them earlier.

Maybe in near future update for Kawasaki ZX12-R Ninja and Suzuki GSX-R 1300 Hayabusa? PLEASE!!

Rushy, please make new colors accessible easier. I'm not an online player and it takes too long to get those amazing colors for my cars. :(

  2. Heavy Rain
  3. Pishing Down
 
» A new “Hardcore Handling” option is now available, turning off traction control, stability control & other assists. Enable this in Gameplay Settings for a more realistic driving experience.

This, thanks for this, this game is GOAT now. Now we can do real drift in the game.
