In celebration of the city track in Edinburgh...

It is out already, am downloading it.

As much as I am looking forward to the new tracks the thing for me is the hardcore handling model.

Has any game ever launched with such a nasty bump in the road only to turn into a true gem - I've definitely played this title more than anything else since buying a PS4.

This New City Track feels so fresh, almost feels like playing driveclub 2. They all Are pretty similar to each other though, at least thats my first Impression.
Racing in Hardcore Mode, engine noises bouncing back from the buildings while trying to keep a 500 HP rwd -car in line in the Rain? easily one of the Best Moments in gaming ever<3

Edit: man... I miss quebec from pgr 4

yeah very nice track. i expected narrower streets so. but i guess the drifters will love the setting. knocking up all the trash bins hehe

Update is up!

Went to try the new hardcore mode. First random event throws me into a hyper (under rain of course), second throws me into venom hot lap 2.

Hope we can still adjust intensity.

I've been testing the new tracks this morning and playing with the filters. This is incredible. So, all 18 filters are available, each with their own 0% - 100% intensity slider. While driving, hit the touchpad to enter photo mode, choose your filter and your desired intensity percentage. Then exit and click the 'OK, RACE WITH FILTER' button. You're back in the race with new filter on. Wanna change filter? Hit touchpad and repeat process. It's that simple.

Currently driving in midday heavy Scottish rain, rocking a 90% Bleach filter. Evo, you continue to amaze and delight. <3

Damn, the amount of free content I need to download to get up to date is truly insane (season pass holder). As I said I haven't played in a long time, but kudos to the post content support, I'm seeing it first hand right now.

Can anyone help with DLC? Booted up DC and when I try to go into any of the event DLC under tour it says to activate content I must purchase it? I click okay, it takes me to the store for the selected DLC and then it says "purchased". When I go back to the game I still cannot play, still asks me to purchase?

I have the season pass, and I've used the web store to "buy" all the free content. I've tried closing the game and opening it again but no luck :/

Try rebooting the whole system. Helped me when that happened.

I didn't think I could love the driving model more.

Then I switched to hardcore mode.

Just spent 5 minutes sliding a BAC Mono around Edinburgh in the wet :):):););)

Nope. Collision penalty is like 10 secs and ground is more slippery. That's all i feel.

I came to a similar conclusion. The ultra aggressive traction control is replaced by a very weak one but it is still there. You can play a lot more with the throttle to move the RUFs or the Alpine around corners so that made me happy. Weird thing is the brakes feel like they lost a LOT of power or the tires are now much more slippery in a straight line. All my old braking points made me go straight into walls. I guess they had to make sure no one can use hardcore as a viable alternative for normal play :(

The breaking capability in the standard physics model is super powerful, unnaturally so. I'm guessing hardcore mode simply makes breaking distances and control under breaking far more realistic. Which is cool
Can't wait to try it out after work.

Anyone getting a weird acceleration lag after downshifting?

Dropping in to 1st/2nd gear, redlining it and shifting up, results in the car changing gear and just hanging with low rpms.

This was happening with my T150 using both the gtr and 458.

Yeah, it's pretty wild. :) Jumped into photo mode to list 'em....
