Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC
You think you're joking, but I know an illustrator that refuses to work in the games industry because they'd show up to work at 8am, then get a call at 10 to say they needed literally 100 varieties of tree deigns by noon for a meeting.

People who say Bengus is losing his touch have no idea how mismanaged art can get in the games industry. People don't just magically lose the ability to draw.

The quality of the art is definitely because of the raw volume he had to do, I can almost guarantee it. I'm pretty sure Bengus works in-house, he's not just getting some commission he can turn down for being ridiculous. Furthermore, even if he's freelance you basically never turn down a commission. It's a death sentence.
Didn't see this until now, but tbh I'm joking but I could believe it.

Take Sean out

But why? :(

I'm very interested to hear your thoughts on the game as your fairly new to Street Fighter. You are a sample indicator as to how new fans will receive the game. We encourage and welcome your opinions.

If I can get help from you people in the OT, then I am very passionate about learning the ins and outs of the mechanics, to become a better player. And I know these things take time and a lot of practice but I'm in.

So did Bengus just cheap out on the arcade illustrations?

He may have been forced to. There are very, very few artists that can pump out consistently high quality stuff in large volume and in a short time frame.

That said, Bengus does seem be making a conscious effort to change his style and the increasingly exaggerated proportions seem to be part of that.

Hayato looks like he weighs about as much as one of Cody's arms.

I don't think so. Talim in Soul Calibur is the only Filipino fighting game character I can think of.

Talim in Soul Calibur, and now Josie Rizal in Tekken. :)

I have decided to buy this controller. I guess it should also make it easier for the hard punches and kicks:

Simply will probably dispatch tomorrow if you order now :) they've generally been really good for me and I've received quite a few games early!

I see; I might do that. Though, I've since learned that a certain local shop in the Reading area (UK) might be selling the game as we speak...I'll try them first tomorrow. ;-)

Won't get panned by reviews, more people would buy it rather than see what it's missing and saying, "Nope."

More complete game at launch. Pretty much can't play with friends at all (I don't mind this so much since I prefer 1v1, but it is a big deal to a lot of people).

More content complete, which would help reviews and word of mouth.

It will be difficult to recover from a bad launch, imo.

Multiplayer lobbies and spectator mode isn't what I'd call "extra fluff."

To be fair, that's what a lot of people would say about the story mode.

I forgot about her. I play on a stick, but if I were a pad player I would have no idea whether to get that or the Madcatz, they both look really nice.

There's also the rather embarrassing Josie Rizal in Tekken 7.

What is embarrassing about her?

Learning to block properly is very important. Then learn about spacing, jump arcs and range. Then learn other tech. Start here: Watch this I would play all casual matches for the first three days. Not unlike Tekken you need to know most of the rosters arsenal to be decent.

is the RAP4 a solid choice if I dont want to spend 225 bucks on a TE2, or should I really get the TE2?

I have the money for either but just don't know if I want to spend so much on a stick. I guess I could also get the shadaloo one...

the last stick I had was the smaller Mad Catz SF4 stick. the one that was like 80 bucks at launch or whatever. It was okay but I'd rather get a nicer stick
