It's absurd that this isn't included. This is a staple in fighting games. And I love to do a run through in arcade mode after training sessions before I hop online.

Im pretty sure SFV uses your player name (Not the PSN ID/Steam ID) to match players so yeah THERE'S NO EXCUSES JETT!

This thread has been a mess regarding spoilers since the story scenes started going up on youtube. I get that fighting games don't really have too many spoilers to care about, but it would have been nice to see some of the stuff for myself when I played the character stories. Oh well.

- 19 launch characters
- Full Story Mode
- Battle Tips (Tutorial Mode)
- Trials (Combo Trials)
- Daily Challenges
- Extra Battle (matches against bosses)
- Lobby with Spectating
- Character Specific Story Mode
- Survival Mode
- Shop


However launching in Feb we only have
- 16 character roster
- Character Specific Story Mode
- Survival Mode


As a huge SF fan I don't care and want my hands on the game as soon as possible. However I understand launching a barebones product even though everything will come free later may potentially affect casual appeal and critical reception for when the game launches. It can affect launch reviews as well as previews and reception from buyers.

Slowrolling parts of the game lets the game keep itself in the press/news.

voice personality and design is actually what matters the most to me.

You can have the coolest best most interesting easiest playstyle ever but if something about you turns me off, I ain't playing you .

You don't think rufus is easy to play, or abel? They are, but they are rufus and abel. So god no.
 
So based on the story mode I think All these characters have a good shot of making S2

- Sakura
- Oro
- Sean
- Ed
- Viper

And some maybes

- Azam
- Gouken
- E. ryu
- Sagat






- Skullomania (believe)

I get disappointed when a character that I think is cool ends up feeling bad when I play them.

do you know if turning it to ps3 mode is still DINPUT, or does that trick it for XINPUT for PC?

worst case I guess I can load up ds4windows and configure it but I think im gonna go with the steam version

I don't know that info, sorry. The best I can tell you is that I know my friend who has it can just switch it to ps3 mode and plug and play fine on USFIV for PC

Two things that'll get me to play as a character is personality and gameplay style. Someone can look cool all they want and if I'm not feeling their style, I won't play them. At the same time, they have an interesting playstyle but I dislike the personality. That's a no go as well.
 
Uhhh so in case any of you get an early copy and want to do story mode or anything before the game launches, DON'T.

The servers were down for a few hours and once they came back up all my Fight Money and EXP were gone but the story mode progress was not. Meaning I can't even get the FM from story mode again.

So, uh, thanks for that Capcom.
