Switch 2 doesn't look bad at all for the price.
For an additional $250, you get extra background graphics and more bloom/fog

For a fighting game that was previously released a couple of years ago, I don't see this being far fetched.

Having said that, Switch is a beast and DLSS is certainly a game changer for that platform.

Well, here's the thing;

This guy says he's shit, so you find a different "source", then the next guy says that source is shit, so you move to another one, so on and so forth.

Just post it, ignore the complainers, as your never gonna find a source, that can defeat Nintendrones/Xboys/Sonybots/PCcheats. Just sit back, let them fight, and eat popcorn. (Flavored at the very least. Only disgusting animals eat plain popcorn.)
 
Looks like a fantastic port to me. I just really dislike how hiphopified this version is. Really off-putting, but I guess this is probably what the Evo crowd enjoys.
 
I tried the demo, and yeah it looks absolutely great. Without comparing to other versions, it's like I really felt the console was a next generation Switch
 
Switch 2 is good for what it is

Looking forward to seeing what it ends up pushing out. Im sure we will see some really impressive games in its life. For me, fast fusion, cyberpunk, yakuza are very impressive among others at launch

It makes sense because it's a portable.

The truth is the truth. It doesn't compare when it comes to non portables and it doesn't compare when it comes to portables.

I bought the stupid thing to play games like sf6 which I already own on deck. The deck is physically less comfortable but sf6 looks so awful on switch 2 in comparison that I couldn't bring myself to pay for another copy.

I WANT the switch 2 version of sf6 to be great or even good enough, but when I put it side by side it looks just awful. The in game characters are blurry, the effects are blurry, the backgrounds are empty, there is no subsurface scattering, the screen itself is too dark unless you're in dark conditions (when side by side with deck OLED). The details on the characters clothes (like wrinkles and creases) are all gone, you can't even parry in classic mode because the right thumb stick gets in the way.

The joycon grip is less comfortable than switch 1 too.

Only Nintendo games like Mario kart save the switch 2.

So far third party is a massive let down and I've found myself just buying more games on steam to console myself.

There are already more than 70 games announced, the console is not even 1 month old.

Look at the Switch 1 launch... It was a lot worse.
 
Upclose textures look significantly better on the S2 (courtesy of DLSS perhaps), but all the rest look better on PS5 Pro, obviously. Motion Blur, DoF and crowds/environment detail is severely downgraded on S2.

I mean, even with that the game looks pretty damn good.

I'm talking about the look of the game on any platform that has sf6 and switch 2 is the worst in any mode.

70 games????! Bro there may be 5000 games on switch 1 but numbers mean nothing without quality. 70 lol. Yeah my phone has a billion apps but I use like 40. If you asked any switch 2 owner the games they're planning to buy in the coming year and they couldn't search online, they'd tell you 4 games max. For me there are like 3 games total. Tony hawks 3+4, Kirby air ride, Metroid prime 4. That's it

Absolutely, 20W vs 200W. 😎

The big machine feels like "ok good, but you can do better with something like this", but Switch 2 feels like "I am the future". What we can achieve nowadays on low power devices is impressive, I am not sure that we will see big devices like home consoles or PC to play games in 20 or 30 years.

Those screens were not the ps5 version but the ps4 version. possibly running on a ps5 pro. you can easily tell.

The Switch 2 is a 10th gen console, PS5/SX are 9th gen consoles. The Switch 2 costs as much as a PS5.

These comparisons will become more and more common as the 10 year old PS4 is no longer supported.

You mean PS4pro right? PS5 don't do BC with PS4 unless there is not a PS4pro version.

Switch 2 costs less than a physical PS5, i.e. $450 vs $600 ($700 for the Pro) and that's before any potential price increases that Sony may have.

The fact it's newer, costs less, is a 10th it's size and is even comparable to it is extremely impressive.

Meanwhile other handheld options that try to compete with PS5 (minus the ability to natively dock or support HDR/DLSS) costs $100-$200 MORE than a PS5. If you can't see how that makes Switch 2 an extremely impressive device then you are just blind or bias.
