Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

- There seems to be no way to have the CPU battle itself, a first since all other SF games that I can remember have this, even SFxT. Normally this would be under Versus, but in V, that mode is only meant for local multiplayer. I've also not found the option to set player 1 to CPU under Training or anywhere else. Such a weird omission that only came to be because of how they seem to have structured the whole menu around CFN and online competition. I had feared this might happen but still. Sigh...(Yes, this really makes the game less enjoyable for me as someone who enjoys watching as much as playing, so weird or not, I'm not being sarcastic.)

With CPU vs CPU being out, I guess I can't really do much with the game right now except train, unless I wish to re-do story modes later or something.
We can still do P1 vs. CPU in Versus, right?

While it's silly that Capcom didn't think to include a vs CPU or CPU vs CPU option, I'm a bit confused at how upset people are over this. Why would anyone buy a Street Fighter game to play with or just watch CPUs?

I'd think so.

In the Beta you could play against the CPU in Training Mode, so I doubt they'd leave it out of Versus Mode.

Sorry if this was posted earlier but I just read on GameFaqs that there no Vs. CPU mode. That'll be very disappointing if true.

Wait, what?

Can someone who got it early confirm?

Considering so many people already have this there is way to little info on GAF for my liking lol.

Damn it ..my friends store got 8 copies already..wondering if I should make that trip into Brooklyn. I could get there in 50 mins traffic allowing.. :-/

This has to be it.

So I just went to videogamesny to pick up a Brook adapter...

MAD heads hanging out in there, waiting... I really wanted the game digital, but the allure of playing all weekend may be too stronk.

All this talk of Single Player Content reminds me that I miss the Opening Director mode from Soul Calibur 2. Not only could you make your own OP by using custom scenes, but you could sub any character into the scene, regardless of size, gender, or alignment, So seeing someone like Sophitia get the cursed blade, or watching Cervantes have a touching moment, was just stupid fun.

I'd hope such a thing would become more prevalent, when games dropped CG cutscenes in favor of in-engine stuff, but this concept seems all but forgotten, sadly.

No one buys the game JUST for that, but watching 2 characters fight can be just as fun as watching recordings of real fights.

Actually, though, has anyone thought the fact that you can watch replays VS CFC, as well as your own recordings, could just be taking the place of CPU VS CPU mode? Why not just download 10s of videos, and then watch them? Aren't the tools for finding replays of players suppose to be pretty robust?

To answer the question, i didn`t find any option for a "VS CPU" match so far. Been playing for about one hour now and i have searched for that option myself. Sorry ...

I`ll check again after i downloaded the 6 GB patch.

So hopefully it'll be patched on release day.

Survival is a 1p vs CPU type mode, but there doesn't seem to be a more standard version.

More disturbingly I just saw a stream where two dudes are playing in local Versus and got instantly kicked to menu mid match for getting disconnected from the server. That shit needs to get addressed with a quickness.

What, no versus CPU option? That's like the basic thing in every fighting game... O_o

Please be patched, please be patched...
Survival mode is there from the sound of it and wouldn't that fill the gap if you just want to fight the cou a bunch. Downside I guess is you can't just sit and do matches against one character over and over.

No vs CPU is a very strange thing to omit that's for sure, but I'd be lying if I said I really cared. Any VS. CPU stuff I do is either Story/Arcade mode or other single player stuff.

I will kind of miss putting two CPUs against each other though. Every now and then when we'd get too drunk me and my friend would put that on and bet on characters.

This will probably be fixed on launch day

if not then welp

Yes you can. You can do that in training mode. The max level CPU in the beta was a real fucker.

You can turn off hp/super refills etc and it just plays out like normal matches.

I gather the 6GB patch notes haven't been revealed. I hope the update adds vs CPU in. Can't believe Capcom haven't put in one of the most basic aspects of fucking fighting games.

Street Fighter V |OT| No Options to Select

Fuck it, this should be the OT title now.

I like Street Fighter's gameplay and cast of characters, but I'm rarely in the mood to play online. It's too nerve-wracking. My Internet connection sucks, the slightest hint of lag takes me out of the experience, and I'm not very good at fighting games in general (no matter how much I practice), so I end up losing 90% of the time. I'm not a competitive person -- I play video games to have fun -- and not getting a single attack in isn't enjoyable to me. When local multiplayer isn't an option, I enjoy throwing the game on and playing a few quick fights against the CPU as a variety of characters.

With that said, I really don't think I should have to justify the inclusion of such a basic mode. It's 2016. Capcom ought to be embarrassed.
