Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

I hope they get torn one for releasing a barebones, unoptimized game. People reporting stage lag across the board... 8 more years of training stage.

FFS this shit is the worst. I have come to accept Capcom's lack of content in their fighters, but this sucks.

10 more years of blaming stage lag/PS4 when losing.

man, that sucks knowing your precious copy is just sitting there lol...thankfully I have Gravity rush to platinum tomorrow to keep me occupied unriil midnight.

Also, why didn't they bring back character round poses like the fist bump and the bloody picture for the lose avatar. Would have been nice fan service.

Sadly my store isn't doing a midnight launch either soooo...gotta wait Tuesday at 11am when they open to pick it up. :(

I have to think something is going on in game since the game has been playable forever and we haven't seen any random drops.

It seemed to me that from what we've seen so far, the Chinese busy street stage wast the only complete one. It was the only one with the wall to break through at the end of the round - despite the others having their secondary locations visible, and it was much more detailed than the others.

I'd kind of assumed that the release stages would all be brought up to this level. Has this happened and is that the reason for the slow down?

I don't get why dropping out doesn't just give you a win and your opponent a loss. Given how matchmaking works now it doesn't seem like it would be all that abusable.

They might add it in later. Maybe they don't want people to get a bunch of penalties in case the netcode doesn't hold up on launch.

PC version is probably also going to launch with the tablet/touchscreen bug that crashes the game every 20 minutes too.... so I'm expecting a lot of false "rage quits" like the entirety of all the betas where PC was involved.

They need to add an extra line of dialogue when Nash and Guile both try to air-throw one another and one wins out.

"Predictable as always"

Teching air throws need to be added with special animation. Nash has to be really emo about it though when it happens. "I don't care" "Oh well" "Big deal" when it happens. lol

Nash should emit the loudest HMPH! sound that can be squeezed from human lungs.

I am very eager for the launch, I don't get the unfinished game complaint, you know you can just wait, early adopters and FGC wants this asap, features will come along the road either way.

My only complaint is that the game seems unoptimized, I am able to run 1920x1080p med/high a lot of games (like MGS5) and SFV which is a 2.5D fighting game with below 30fps background animations needs to be run at 1600x900 with medium settings to get 60fps locked.

Nash vs. Guile fights are going to be so beautiful. I'm so god damn excited to see how Guile turns out.

I think they fixed it, It stopped happening to me 2 stress tests ago.

People are gonna try and play this with under-powered PC's though.

So I know that there are no stage transitions in any stages other than China, but did they also take out the stuff such as hitting them onto the bus, and the noodles on the head?
If so that's extremely disappointing.
I understand the new stages not having the transitions, possibly due to running out of time, and hoped they would add them in at a later date.
But taking out stuff that was already in? Boooooooo!

I bet Guile's v skill is going to be a cvs2 style roll.

A roll wouldn't really benefit Guile much. They could've reworked him to be more offensive, but I imagine not too much considering Nash is pretty much the offensive Guile now. I'm expecting a Dhalsim-esque rework.

It's hard to think of what his V-skill/trigger could be because the best part about Guile is his simplicity. I'm thinking he V-trigger could power up his Flash Kicks and Sonic Booms. Maybe making it to where the Flash Kick sends out an actual projectile wave and his sonic booms can like come back or something? Ooo that sounds rad...

I have no idea what his v-skill could be.

Of course I'm sure the game will be what I want it to be eventually, but I hope for consumers' sakes critics accurately portray the state of this game at launch

He's the charge prototype. I don't think they'll change him much.

But will his CA require charge? Will his V-Trigger be a one-use thing like Rashid's or Vega's? Will it be a permanent buff for the remainder of the round like Necalli? A timed buff like Birdie and Bison? How will his V-Skill work?

By making Vega charge-less, they're proving that they're really not afraid to switch things up so while his character will probably still have just the 2 specials, he could have practically anything they want to give him.

How does matchmaking work? Does it match you with people of your level or are they going to frustrate most of their players in another game?

Yeah but I also really don't think they're going to change Guile up very much. They're including him in this game for a reason, and that reason is that he's most likely going to play different from the rest of the cast. His charge moves are a big part of that.

I mean, they could copy and paste him from SFIV and he would still be unique in this game.

They need to hurry up and give Nash a non zombie option for his default costume.

And speaking of Nash, did they end up making his HP tragedy assault an overhead again? I forgot to check in the last beta and haven't heard anything from those who have the game already.

Those who ordered at Gamestop: You did not receive a code yet, correct?

I just went to the store to pre order it but there's no code on the receipt. I assume I'll get it when I pick it up on Tuesday?

Also, the game should be sealed, right? I know Gamestop is notorious for selling "New" games unsealed, but I wonder if that's for non pre orders.

I don't think they will. They already said the reason they opted to make Nash a motion character and redesign him is because Guile will be in the game. Guile's 'two moves' design is almost as iconic as Ryu. His CA will probably be a motion though. V trigger will be an auto combo where he puts on shades and beats you with a flag pole whilst you're being swarmed by bald eagles.

I don't know when this system will be in but from what I understand this game will have 'leagues' similar to starcraft and the like.

Guile confirmed to have strider like projectiles

I'm actually having a hard time thinking what Guile's V-stuff would be. Maybe a skill that helps him move forward while charging and a trigger that slightly increases movement speed and/or reduces charge time?

Yeah your game will be sealed. lol

If they do that, then I will buy a separate PC copy and then buy the season pass for that too while the Greatest Song of America (AKA Guile's Theme) plays in the background.

Street Fighter V |OT| From Beta to Released Alpha 4

I am not even mad about the lack of content, but I can understand why people are.
If anyone was on the fence on this game or wanted to enjoy some SP content, they are better waiting for the patches to hit.
