Just a bit, for this game's standards, at least.

First thing you wanna do is learn how to execute the instant Tenko, especially cancelling from c. MK, st. MP and st. HP, you'll use that a lot.

c. MP, c. MK/st. MP, Tenko, V-Skill/Tenko/Shoulder/QCB LK/Super is a great mid screen bnb

In the corner, you can do two Tenkos and EX QCB P

ugh...at one point I thought they said all content can be unlocked via FM. Hopefully the DLC characters outfits can be purchased separately, cause Im definitely not getting the season pass.
 
Not having Arcade Mode at launch is ok, but it's not even on the content roadmap? That's insane to me. A hallmark of Street Fighter is the this classic mode!

C'mon Capcom. I really hope they're working on it and ti will be added in a future update.

The March update should be in the OT. Seems like a lot of people of unaware of what's coming.

No other costume for Ken has been revealed yet.

Only gameplay relevant content will be unlockable for sure. There might be costumes for Fight Money, but there will definitely be costumes you can only buy with Zenny.

I'm really hoping they'll sell Zenny through Steam, otherwise no localized prices for DLC costumes :C

Yup that's his story mode alt you unlock... the core cast also has premium costumes on the way- but the only ones we've seen are the pre-order ones.
 
I'd be all over this game, but I abhor the art style and pandering to the crowd that enjoy virtual boob jiggling and ass shots.

Anyone with the full game have any idea how to deal with FANG?

I'm maining Vega and I'm at a loss. He's so good at keeping me a screen's distance away and Flying Barcelona isn't really a great way to get in because you can see it coming from a mile away.

He does have an alt that is old style from SF2, SF4, etc... looks like he has a ponytail instead of a mullet though.

The way the V-Guage works in this particular game might be closer to Blazblue (I wouldn't know), but the overall feel of it goes back to Alpha 2 and 3 with the custom combo/V-Ism bar.
 
I like how this lazy ass story mode tells more of a story than SFIV did with two animated scenes and a rival(or two) battle for each character + a fully animated movie. :D

I think you just mean going for reliable. Optimal damage usually means the most damage you can get out of that particular situation, which includes flashy.

There's story mode costumes and "battle" costumes

Ryu's story costume is Alpha Ryu, his battle costume is Hot Ryu

So far we've only seen battle costumes from Ryu, Chun, Bison and Cammy because they're the preorder bonuses

So we'll probably see the other battle costumes (including Ken's) sometime in March when the store opens up

This is the kind of shit that concerns me. I hate games that are so tied to their own servers that they have the potential of constantly interrupting you and taking you out of the experience. I stopped playing Just Cause 3 because every five minutes I'd be disconnected from the servers and have to sit there for minutes watching a spinning wheel, despite having selected offline mode.

Yeah, you're right. I guess I got too used to my time playing Dudley, doing flashy crap that did no damage instead of less flashy combos that were a lot more optimal.

That still doesn't mean it is an evovled SFIV. None of the systems evolved from that game and all were taken out or changed. If you mean by evolved that it is the next game in the series then yes but other than that the only thing they have in common is some of the same characters.
 
I know it's been said already many times, but what an amazing OT intro! Very well done. Mad props.

At the risk of sounding like a killjoy, I'm not getting the game until the single player story mode is added in June. I get my ass kicked hard whenever I play fighters online and none of my local friends are into fighting games, so the SP mode is a must for me.

I can't express with words how disappointed I am that there aren't going to be "premium" costumes at launch for all characters...
