I'm doing just that. Make sure you connect to the game and go online with your VPN and then disconnect the VPN, game doesn't kick you and you can keep playing.

Why would I turn off Steam if I don't have to, and if I did I would just start my vpn again, start steam, start sf5 and then close the vpn. Not sure why that is a giant asterisk. They asked if they could play if they turned off their vpn, and they can. This isn't some 10 step solution.

EDIT: And I did it, took all of 2 minutes at most.

Apparently the crash I have is something that happens to people who have touch devices on their computers. Looks like my tablet was what was fucking with the game.

That's just... weird, supposedly something users have been reporting since the beta. Didn't find out about it until I dredged deep into the Steam support forums. Oh well, I'll just unplug it while I play. Will try again tomorrow morning and hope for the best but this is a completely stupid issue since apparently it gets mucked by touch pads and such.

I'm playing at 4K and the highest AA setting makes the watefall stage drop below 60(to around 54-57)fps so I'm going to try dropping it to high. Is only max taa or how are they divided out? Is low a really bad FXAA esqe solution or could that along with 4K be enough? 4K generally still isn't high enough a resolution to not need AA from my experience with a native 4K tv.

Edit: Forgot to download the new drivers so hopefully that's enough.
