Street Fighter V |OT| No Options to Select

I have done 3 story modes and ended up with 30000 in Fight Money. I think that's about right so everything was done online.

I hate having to be concerned about fight money but I am.

theres no counter picking online in SF4, you can see who youre fighting. Even if I agree that I want to choose my characters (which is why ill mostly stick to lobbies)

I also use training, but I want to play the game, too. As for staples, charged characters, a certain Muay Thai practitioner and a demon. And no, dlc is not a good justification for the roster missing those characters. In truth though, I'm more pissed about lack of game modes to play while the online is shit.
 
Test run the game on PC after unlock at midnight, and was annoyed to find that my ps4 controller was auto detected and working but my Madcatz TE fightstick was not.

Had to google and found that I had to run Joy2Key to get it working. At least it was a simple enough issue!

Now I just got to finish work for the day.....

This is a trainwreck of a launch. So much for the betas.
  • The game CTD on me every 20-30 mins, so I refuse to go online until it is fixed.
  • I get disconnected from the server and kicked to the main menu, whatever I'm doing, even if it is offline. That's utterly retarded.
  • A friend couldn't find my ID at first. When the system finally took me in, we couldn't join a lobby because it didn't exist.
  • Story Mode is a big joke. I see no dificulty options, the images are mediocre and the stories are... well, I've only played Ryu's and Necalli's and they were as nonsensical as they get.
  • No way to delete messages.
  • Load times, even when offline, are stupid. I'm playing on a SDD and it takes a while to even load Training Mode. I won't even go into unnecesary screens.
  • OBS doesn't find the .exe :lol
All in all, a very disappointing launch. The game is gold when it comes to fighting, but everything else is either broken or stupid.
 
PC sales day 1 arent looking that hot. It never had the top seller spot yesterday because Dark Souls 3 pre-purchase went live at the same time and took it (lol), but now its not even second. It dropped to 4th behind XCOM2 and The Division (what?).

User reviews are also savage (probably rightfully so) which will only make the situation worse. I dont think we will see a "no season pass 2 for PC like MKX" situation, but it aint pretty thats for sure.

is it sad that all I can think of right now is "well this is such a huge clusterfuck, they HAVE to give us a freebie to make up for it right?" lol :(
 
the lack of an arcade mode (survival is not nearly good enough) really puts me off this game...
Bought it and I think the combat itself is pretty decent, but the games modes are really, really lazy and bare, how the hell can we not change difficulty in the AWFUL story mode, how could anyone think that 3 single round fights would be enough for it?
Really, really disappointed.

I have to reboot with only my stick connected to get it detected. It seems to not like more than one controller showing in Windows controllers.

can't speak for server issues because I went to bed right before they apparently started happening. But loadtimes were lightning fast for me on PC, also on an SSD. The loading in the beta did seem to correlate to server problems.

The CTD thing might be the tablet issue people keep bringing up? No crashing here, I actually had to leave the game open for several hours because I would have had to re-do my VPN stuff.

I've been playing fighting games since the nineties, I know how things are. But it's not only the stories themselves, is the whole mode. Is retarded. You call it Story Mode and they barelly tell anything or present the character in any proper way. If you are new to the series, you will not understand a single thing. Then you start playing and the whole mode constist of three combats, single round, against a level 0 AI. I'd go as far as saying I found the tutorial harder than Story Mode.

It's a throwaway mode.

I'm playing on a desktop and on desktop launch. Will try the other method latter, see if it helps.
 
So happy with the game so far. PC version connections are fast, based on what I've read here with PS4 issues. Every player I've connected with on PS4 has lagged out, whereas PC players have decent connections.

Got it this morning for ps4, no major issues with connections
 
Makes me wonder that in the Gief stage the bear moves at 60fps meanwhile the person 1 metre behind it at 30

I'm still really confused how my Start button doesn't work when I'm in a match.

Doesn't work on my keyboard, fight stick, etc. Maybe it's a driver issue or something?

I deleted the game last night and re-downloaded but it's still present. Googling doesn't provide any answers, I seem to be the only one with this issue. Not sure how to fix this.

PC version.

There are two different pause modes, press and hold. Do you have it set to hold?

So there's no ragequitter hell in this game? I thought after a few in a row they would only get matched up with other ragequitters
 
I don't understand how people don't get Nec's story. It's basically telling people about what he "has" to do in order to be SSJ mode forever. So you eat those three fighters and then it shows how he does it and what happens at the end. Then he has an inner battle within himself - the warrior who wants to just fight dudes and the bad side of him who wants to kill everything. At the end of the story, it's the actual reality, where he meets up with Ryu and fades to fin.

Also, in regards to mainstays, I see what some of you mean. I love Sagat and Balrog, so it's a shame they both aren't in at launch. However, I feel like nothing is promised unless you are Ryu, Ken, and Chun, and this fresh blood is more than making me happy.

Online is smooth as butter now. I'm getting stuffed by stupid shit. Sometimes I feel like Kenpachi - except I don't scale in power to make myself stronger for better people, I just play like ass all the time and get even more ass when I find someone who's just doing whatever they want lol.
 
Come ON! Now im getting game crash screens on my ps4? Wtf? Man, i havent had this since forever. Everytime i try to join a lobby this happens.



Oh fuck this.
