Street Fighter V |OT| No Options to Select

I made one, invited someone from my favorites list, he got in and when the match was about to start, we got booted.
:\
has anyone actually gotten a lobby to work?

MarcoZC has been playing ranked, but everytime we try to get into a lobby it just doesnt work

^^ We tried quite a few times, and we either just failed to join, or one or both of us would get disconnected from the lounge.

Got one match with a friend he's on PC I'm on ps4 but got disconnected second fight and when I set up another room and send invite it can't be joined. Arrrggh not a good start.

I selected Chun Li as my fav character. Now when I fight online it autoselects her. How do I change this?

I believe the only way to select your character before each round is to go into a Battle lounge. If you are playing Casual or Ranked your only option is to play your chosen favorite character.

Ok. Im not even angry anymore. Im just utterly and throughly disappointed. I got my copy in the post today and it is just sitting on my table, unopened.

I know people will argue that the game had to be out because of the pro tour, single player content will be patched in yadda yadda, but to me. I just feel that a incredibly good game is marred by boneheaded decisions that just boil down to corperate penny pinching. I have no confidence in street fighter as a product moving forward and im in no way convinced it can movebto a satisfying service model either.

I hate tobsay it, but this failure of a launch is giving me sfxt vibes.
You've crossed a line.

SFxT was very playable online despite sound issues.

Okay thanks. That's kinda a weird way of doing things. A lot of people mix up who they use from fight to fight. Ah well

Take a look in ur tranfers history using the PS Store from a computer and download from there. If its not there check in game if its already istalled.

It's in my transaction history but it's not in the game. According to the playstation store on my laptop I never installed but according to the PS website I did

Eh, I prefer people just going straight with the character they want to play into matchmaking to save time.

Too many times in 4 people would just waste like 30 seconds in character select dicking around and whatnot. Changing your favourite character between fights takes a couple seconds anyways.

Yeah I guess. Just so used to the old way. Guess it doesn't make much difference

My PS3 Stick got disconnected when my Dualshock 4 turned off. FUCKING GOOD IMPLEMENTATION CAPCOM. Now I have to change my controller settings so it doesn't turn off. Thank god that wasn't an online match.

I was gonna buy this game tomorrow, but after reading about all these problems, omissions and disappointments, I'll see if Capcom will remedy this stuff first.
After what happened with MvC3, SFvT and now this, I have no faith in Capcom anymore.

It's pretty simple; if you want to play seriously online or 1-vs-1 offline, or start practicing to do so against other random people online, you could consider picking the game up now. If you want to mess around with more than 1 of your friends in a lobby online, or play just about anything against the computer, a real training mode, or anything offline other than human 1-vs-1, you should consider waiting.

Finally got to jump into the PC version for a few minutes. Is it supposed to be downloading a big update? My game directory is still under 7GB. I thought it needed 24GB of disk space or something like that.

I can understand why Ranked Match uses your favourite character as that's the most "pro" multiplayer mode in the game and a lot of people will focus on their main. Casual should have a character select though.

Has anyone here tried any ps3 sticks ? I heard it wad having some lag issues, just want to confirm. I just found my stick in the basement, and although I suck at fighting games, I would get it because I believe I can beat Daigo lol

YES IT'S THERE!!! Holy fuck I was so heartbroken, I thought I'd lost the costume.

My CFN name is Scotia, btw. PSN is Krypton_Xenon

This game is so vanilla. There's no content. The story mode is laughably bad..you can probably beat it in 45 min with every character.

-No arcade
-Laughable excuse for a story
-No versus against cpu
-Roster is missing staples
-Everything is online-bound, so you get kicked out while in single player modes
-Matchmaking is horrible at launch (as expected)

There's barely any reason to play this at the moment. Sorta depressing. I was excited for sfv.

Day 1 matchmaking is very slow. Disconnects from the server are rampant. Not the smooth launch I was hoping for but it'll get better.

Yup. Tried to play a bit before I went to work this morning and no dice. At least I got my SF online name. Thought for sure I would have to had a # or something behind it.

For those who want to challenge me when I'm in game, the SF name is wreckus.

I got some buddies coming over for local in a bit. I'm lucky enough to have a lot of players around.

I don't really touch single player stuff so I'm really pleased it can be beaten in 45 mins. Tbh I'd rather everything was just unlocked from the start, I'm considering getting the season pass. I managed to get in early and bought a Hrap4 and I already got a TE so I'm glad the PS3 sticks are compatible too.

My game isn't even here yet (thanks Amazon prime, it's 1pm), we've all taken time off work to play and it's already the afternoon!

got my first 10k FM for beating FANGs "story", not to see if ill keep that FM or not :p

Chun Li costume.

No clue, but it was a preorder costume so maybe not.

Digital bonus was Hot Chun everywhere, I think? Should be gone now
Oh that's fine then, I don't use her. Are pre order costumes going to be included in the season pass a couple of months down the line? I have no idea how capcom handle dlc.

Edit - the deluxe edition is £5 more for a theme or am I missing something?

The game keeps losing focus and returning to Steam Big Picture or desktop. Happens after 10 seconds or so. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm using Windows 10, in case that's relevant.

I definitely agree with the lack of arcade and versus CPU, as well as the dumb online issues, but roster staples missing? Like who? Sometimes, characters just don't work, or they need time to be worked in.

I'm playing because I'm training to get better at the game and fight people offline and online. For me, that's reason enough alone to spend time with a fighting game. But that's just me. It's different around the board.

To me it does as it is another traditional thing gone in service of the FGC mindset and the wish for speedy online matches (together with title screens, intro movies, arcade modes, stage transitions, CPU vs CPU options, etc).

I miss having the psychological pre-fight of picking and counter picking characters. I also don't have a favorite character (yet) so when I'm going online I want my chance to think about who I'm in the mood for to play as. At least in casual battles this should be possible I feel.

So is it safe to do FM stuff (stories, survival) yet?

Haven't had any disconnects in at least an hour, so maybe.

It's safer to play Story mode, regardless. If you get disconnected, just jump back to the last stage you played when you get online and you basically pick up where you left off anyway.
