I remember playing in the second tournament, haven't touched the game since however, and between Street Fighter V and the new ToME dlc coming out soon, I doubt I'll have time to.

Oh, who cares, sign me up as well to get destroyed early on.
 
The second tournament thread is the entire reason I bought this game. I think I played it nonstop for two weeks. I'm in.
 
I'd love to be a part of this tournament! But I don't really know if I have the time... We have a week to get the first match done, right?

Long time my friend. I remember back in winter 2012 when I was ranked number 1 on the US servers and I posted on GAF looking for some new players. You and I played a few and as I recall I got my butt handed to me. Ha!

I'm absolutely in for a tournament. Will have to brush up as it has been a while indeed. Great idea.

The community is so goddamn small that it wouldnt surprise me if I played half of you guys already.

Edit: Oh and we'll need the FS ingame name of every participant until the registration date, so please throw your ingame name in here at one point.

I am also down for practice rounds. Haven't touched this in at least a year. Was playing on my Nook with my friend Advance Wars style while camping.

What is the game mode going to be? Dark Extermination?

Need to practice up. I mainly played Charge so I'll need to brush up on my skills.

I'm xVladx on FS, and you've been challenged.

Of course, that process alone reminded me of how fiddly FS's UI could be at times. Had to dig through several layers of menus in order to challenge an offline player, which was kind of annoying.

The Frozen Synapse dev contacted me to mention that they are throwing in a Beta invite for Frozen Synapse 2 (Beta might start in ~2 months). For the last Beta I entered with Mode7, I got to keep the game after the Beta ends, so maybe that is an interesting aspect for some of you :)

Since getting 30$ in price money AND the Beta is a bit much, I might restructure the price pool a bit though, like:

The best 3 players can choose from one of those 3 prices:
  • Frozen Synapse 2 Beta invite
  • $30 in Steam gifts
  • $10 in Steam gifts

What are you guys thinking about that?

And huge thanks to Mode7 for this opportunity :)

If you dont mind, I'd like to split that up with my rewards. We should at least have prices for all semi final contestants then and if we find another 2 reward slots might even reward all quarter final contestants. In that case, first place gets to choose between FS2 Beta, 30$, 10$ or 7 games from your list, then 2nd, and so on, until we are done with all reward slots. Currently we would have:

- FS2 Beta
- 30$
- 10$
- 7 games
- 7 games
- 7 games
- ?
- ?

OR

The best 4 get to choose 6 games from your list and the first three get:
- FS2 Beta
- 30$
- 10$

8 prize winners is a bit messy, but I'd prefer to at least give prizes to the best 4 then.

Oh sure thing! To be honest it's just that it's a bit counter-intuitive for me to think of the games as an actual reward (it's not like there was an actual investment on my part!), which is why I distributed them that way. I was thinking of them as an added extra :)

I'll trust you to distribute in however fashion you think is best. Adding 3 sets of 7 games as separate prizes in the prize pool that winners get to pick from is a cool idea :)

Top 8 getting payouts makes a lot of sense if we're doing a bracket.
