Street Fighter V |OT| No Options to Select

15 minutes queuing for ranked while watching the newest episode of Lucifer and not finding a single match. Lobbies have been broken since this morning and now the basic matchmaking's died along with it.

Sigh.

Finally got to log in. Does setting your region affect matchmaking or is it just a flag that's displayed in your profile? Asking because I move to Japan in a month. Playing on PC

For people struggling with Survival mode, here is PowerPyx's guide to Hell mode.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcLyvS1OBTM

He basically just corner rushes every opponent with constant DPs with Ken.

I do want to clarify that you have to use Ken's MP SRK for this. I tried it with HP SRK just to speed things up and the CPU will start punishing them hard after block. They occasionally punish a blocked MP SRK, but with different combos and much less often.

About 16 hours (I have the week off). Took some breaks to eat and quick rests/walks, also wasted some time staring at character models, training mode and reading and posting on GAF, lol.

You should go and post that in the Zenny/Fight Money thread because people are freaking out over there.

Most characters don't have invincible non-EX moves like that.

I also can't believe this works.
The CPU in this game is AWEFUL

Yeah it's mostly just to get the gold trophy easily since some will struggle with it. Yeah the AI is usually bad in fighting games. Versus MP or bust tbh.

Do her cross up light kick into command grab. The cpu has a hard time reacting to that.

That sounds about right. Tried doing something like that often in Hell, which carried me pretty far (as well as spamming charge H. kick). Eventually went against an AI Chun Li that was having none of it and played ridiculous compared to everyone else.

I wonder if this would work on lower difficulties

Works like a charm for the shoryuken type moves. Ken/Ryu shoryuken, or Cammy's cannon spike. The AI eats a lot of them, and does not punish very effectively on block.

Also, note how lower level AI loves to crouch. Jump HP, HP, shoryuken over and over.

I don't see why people would be disappointed, real tourney players are about that offline VS/training. That's all I need for my $60, and the training mode here is the best out.
/s of course

Even training mode needs work. Guard reactions don't seem to work if you do a block string into v-trigger cancels which makes it harder to test r.Mika setups than it should.

Bro make a thread about this. I really feel you can buy the entire season with grinding singleplayer. Granted you gonna have to grind on hard mode with each character but the option is there for people. Make a new thread bro and give credit where its due. I am not happy with a few things about SFV but what is right is right.

How do I use my Hori RAP V3 (PS3) Arcade stick with the PC version?

-Grab x360ce
-Drop the exe in the game's steam directory (steamapps\common\StreetFigherV\StreetFighterV\Binaries\Win64)
-Run it, Create the dll, auto search settings, config your buttons, hit Save when done, close the app
-It should spit out an xinput.dll which will let the stick be used in the game.

I have a RAP N3 and this method worked for me.

Messed around in training room. Remembered a video I can't recall which talked about how jabs are going to be the combo interruptors now even if they aren't the combo starters.

Found pretty much every string I can do as Gief can be interrupted with a well timed jab and that it almost all the time could be lead into cr. mp with ryu into super. My new boy Fang as well. No really good normals that are plus besides lights. Came up with one way to counter jab happy players of the Ryu persuasion though, using the right light buttons to push them out then SPD'ing from far range beats it decently.

Sadly could not do anything much from a counter hit jab of my own from either character unless I took huge risks that the counter hit jab would hit. Have a feeling this aspect might be instrumental in how good a character will be in this game at escaping scenarios.

Taking a break now. Playing since launch.

Got over 300,000 fight money, got to level 200+ (lol).
Cleared all easy survival courses, cleared all story modes.
Cleared 4 normal survival (Ryu, Chun, Cammy, Ken).
Got to Cammy's 40th fight on Hard Survival and died.
Fought about 10 online matches.

Time for a break. Game is incredible fun. hopefully the server issues will be solved asap.

All that and only 10 online matches? You have enough for the first 3 DLC characters already.

Yeah, don't think I'm gonna go for that (full price) season pass after all.

Damn, assuming 160k of that FM is from the story modes? Did you really get that much more from survival?

Just tried the game out on a laptop with a 960m for a while (which I understand is roughly the same as a 750ti).

i5-6300HQ @2.3GHz
8GB RAM
Windows 10
GTX 960m 4GB
Installed on SSD.

I started with everything on medium at 1080p (but anti-aliasing at low), and I only seemed to get a few drops here and there, probably into the high 50's but I can't tell exactly because I still can't get Afterburner or anything working with this game. I consistently noticed in in the character select animations and maybe some special moves. I only messed around in training and survival with Laura though. Dropped almost everything down to low and it didn't seem much different (the game itself doesn't look much different on low either except for the shadows).

Mind you, this was with some pretty old drivers. I forgot to update and was playing it on the 353.82 drivers.

Anybody know how to get RivaTuner on screen display working?

Wow man. I can't even get through survival hard with Nash. Gotten to around 35 twice. Doing this for any other character is going to be hell.

Holy shit that's how it works? Geez, alright thanks for this!

I don't really get the combination for the Critical arts (I don't play many brawlers)
f.e. Karin - what am I supposed to do? somehow that combination doesn't work for me.

Yep, looks like I will most likely be getting all of the season 1 DLC characters through fight money.

Finishing 1 survival in easy mode gives you 5000 FM, it's not bad! So x16 it's 80 000 FM.

I dunno how much they give on normal, hard, hell.

Awesome, thank you. Going to try and get my revenge later :P

To add onto this, I've done about 5 online matches, and no Normal mode survival, and I'm almost Lv200 and about 240k fight money

I'm totally joking. This is the most unhype release I have ever contributed money to.

Oh man, I read in this thread "I was able to create a lounge", then as I go into excited state, I realize that I have been reading a post like 40 pages ago, not from today. Damn it.

It's a little difficult to be precise here because the level ups also reward money. All of my characters are around level 12, Chun-Li is 14 because I use her on Ranked, and my overall player level is 210+ (is that a sum of all char levels? I have no idea).

All that and only 10 online matches? You have enough for the first 3 DLC characters already.

Yeah, don't think I'm gonna go for that (full price) season pass after all.

Online matches do not offer significant reward. Earned 50 per win, and character experience which in turn can help level up (level ups give money). The vast majority comes from leveling up and single player.

Yeah, although it will dry up a little. Say I need to get more Fight Money tomorrow, I'll have to level up playing online or more survival courses with characters I'm not as good with. For the average player the Hard and Hell courses are not practical to farm, even Normal can cause some frustration on fights 27-30.

Getting some serious slowdowns during Survival while it searches for a match. Also happens during training mode. Man, they really need to fix this crap.
