I'll receive my copy on Friday but I was wondering something. Does you PSN region or the flag associated to your account has an impact to the matchmaking? Or is it IP-based?
I want to use my country flag but I live really far from there.
It was so annoying with USFIV on PS3. I had to play online with my japanese account.

If someone knows about it, thanks in advance!

I think its IP based. I'm in Tokyo but I set my flag to America. I didn't have a problem with it last night. Seemed to work fine.

Dunno if anyone else noticed this yet, but the claims of "10000 Fight Money for each Character Story" is kind of not true. You really only get 2000 Fight Money for clearing the story. The other 8000 comes from the 8 levels the character gains for completing it. If leveling up becomes more difficult with time (it does, right?), then the notion that you actually get 160K in total for the mode is sort of misguided.

I'm floored by how short the stories are. I never play fighting games for the story, and typically avoid the story modes entirely, but even I can't believe it. Under 6 minutes, including cutscenes and battles? Shocking.

The "Story Mode" we have at launch is basically a prologue/set up for what our characters are doing before the big "Cinematic Story Mode" launches in June. That's gonna be the meaty story mode. It's too bad they didn't add more filler to the character stories we had at launch. Even best 2 out of 3 would have helped.

Still can't play a match with my friends because searching for Fighter IDs doesn't work. Ridiculous.

Battle Lounges are still acting up anyways. Got into a match with a friend earlier and it dc'd after the first round and we couldn't get into each other's rooms after that.

As much as not having arcade mode sucks, survival mode is well implemented. Spending point on either putting my health meter back or upgrading my character makes it so you want to keep pushing forward. Still, where's the hard boss?

Wish there was an option for a rematch, I've gotten a few fun matches with dudes in my skill range where things can go either way, would love to quick rematch

Yeah, I know about the June update, but this makes me wonder why they bothered with a temporary story mode at all. They could have just done an "arcade" mode and put these cutscenes in at the beginning, stage 4 and before the final. That's similar to what SFIV did already.

The folks buying this game and looking for single-player content are obviously disappointed and I can't blame them...

Cross posting from the FGC noob thread since it's not too active right now

So put in about 2 hours of practice tonight in SFV, I can execute all the commands for Ryu basically 90% of the time....but only when I am on the left side of the screen. When I'm in the right side that drops to 50% execution at most, for some reason I find my coordination moving the stick to the left (towards the CPU) is far worse, and it seems that most of the commands require that "forward" motion in some capacity.

To be more specific I just tried Ryu's uppercut move (Forward, Down, Down-Forward) and I did it 5/5 on the left side of the screen (where forward is to the right) and 0/5 on the opposite side.

Is this a normal thing?
