could it be a router ports problem or whatever its called? Im a noob with that stuff

I'm always dabbling somewhere around 4 to 6 hundred LP. I always get matched with players over 1000. Just somehow beat a high level Cammy. Broke out in a sweat in the last round! Mental game

yeah the moonsault game works like this: you can punish him before it connects, but if you dont:

on hit: he can combo into knockdown

on block: he's plus, so you should be ready to tech or block

it's really easy to interrupt/beat out moonsault if he cancels into it on block or neutral. it might feel scary to challenge it, but just throw out moves and experiment with stuffing it.

you can also just walk forward to cross-under and punish/throw him. mika can anti air grab it lol


there will be times you won't be able to react (if you're under pressure) to the raw moonsault, but generally, you should try to shut it down completely.

His moonsault (where he does a front flip kick) is unsafe and can be air-to-air or anti air with normals. His scythe kicks are very unsafe without being in the right range and even then it can be punished with most critical arts. I am not sure about the data on his EX moves but I think most of them are negative on block and can be dealt with/crush countered accordingly. His EX moonsault is like +3 or +4 on block which is why he can jab you before you can even get it out. his overhead (-4 on block) is also punishable on block so don't forget to throw a move in there to interrupt pressure and combo your own.

His moonsault is safe on block (except for maybe the EX version), but you can hit him while he's in the air before he launches the kick. Think of it like a jumping attack where you can anti-air it.

Except a lot of that fast FM is a one time thing, it isn't like you can keep getting it that fast.

This is true replaying story or survival on a difficulty you already beat it at with the same character gets you no Xp or fm

I really can't stay above 1,000 LP. I'm constantly hovering right below and able to cross the threshold every couple of matches but then I get knocked back again.

Need to learn how to close out games.

Doesn't help that post 1000 LP a loss costs you double the points a win gets you.

Unless you wanna get good on stick for the sake of other games as well, just go with what's comfortable. There's no piano-ing or plinking in this game, so I can't think of any inherent advantage in using it if it doesn't suit you.

Hadoken "spam" is a legit tactic in Street Fighter. Walk forward and block/neutral jump to get them in the corner. Then go to town as they freak out.

All IMO, but her buttons are nice counter pokes, if you're into that sort of thing, and her jump's pretty great in a game that's made anti-airs harder. Her cross-unders are sustainable ambiguous from what I can tell. 5hk > v-t will always be good. Moreover, with the engine, you have to guess more against grapplers and her speed/moves are good at putting you in that position.

Jump wasn't a reliable option they timed shoryukens to counter jumps

Block because of your crazy amount of health, use his V-Skill, and I'm pretty sure his headbutt can clash with Fireballs too?

Stop jumping into DP range. Who were you using? They most likely have some way to counter hadoken spammers.

Yeah, he managed to get like 2 matches in a few hours. But mostly it isn't working. We tried forwarding ports and playing around with the NAT settings but no dice.

That kind of connection on a delay netcode would be utterly unplayable. I'm talking "slow down until the game freezes and the match disconnects" unplayable.

Rollback isn't a magic solution, lag is lag, it just makes lag a bit more bearable and good connections a million times better.
