Why the fuck did that last part make me laugh so hard

Makes me glad I managed to do it with chun with like 1% left vs bison. I aint touching this garbage nomore

ranked streak continues against a hot ryu. 11 and counting

Trickster that poison wall you can walk through. It poisons you but it doesn't actually hit you, you can literally walk through it. FANG is pretty bad actually.

Has this happened to anyone yet? While was playing I was randomly logged into some German guy's CFN profile. I could go into his fighter profile and everything... I shut the game down before getting any matches.

This could be a HUGE problem if the store were open and someone could wipe out all your Fight Money for laughs

I wait in casual ques for like 2-3 minutes now. I'll check out some ranked. I wonder if this is a server issues. PC SoCal here. Also load times between matches are ridiculous against PC and PS4.

Trickster, remember to just IGNORE THAT STUPID V-Skill POISON.

I am a FANG player and I can tell you, too many people get frazzled by the poison. It doesn't actually do that much. No hitstun and the poison actually doesn't do much damage.

FANG is based off doing small chunks of damage consistently. so here's my advice ( assuming you're playing Mika)

(i) You can throw him when he's in his command dash.
(ii) If he went for any move that's not the light trap when he's close to you, counter with a command grab immediately.
(iii) Poisoned state as well as the trap vanishes if you successfully hit him once. Seriously, Dhalsim is so good against him for this very reason, every time he tries to lay down a trap, he can just teleport behind him and hit him, removing the trap.
(iv) You can use your EX Peach to hit through the trap.
(v)Try to jump as little as possible.

You should tweet this to SFV Server.

Messing around with Necalli, his corner game is actually pretty scary. He has a nasty reset off his MK target combo in the corner I wasn't aware of.

Did they hire Valve to do their online account system?

Edit: How can someone wipe out your Fight Money?

I swear because punish combo are so powerful in this that some people are sandbagging first round to lull the opponent in a false sense of security. If I'm aggressive and thrash someone high ranked, the second round trying it again I lose half my bar in 2 combos with EX finishes.

I beat a guy first round with an almost perfect, then the second round I fucked around just trying to land my CA (I didn't bc I suck at 720s) then the third round I landed it and beat him again with an almost perfect.

Sometimes people just mess around.

I know all of that. I just still find it ridiculously hard to get in, and then when I get in, if I get knocked down, I'm just screwed, I just can't find the opening in his followup barrage at all.

His c.hk also seems much much better and faster than mine, so I feel I can't compete in the knockdown game either...

That happened to me the first night with the game. I really hope someone at Capcom is aware of this.

I ONLY HAVE A HIGH CARD AT BEST. I try and play everyone like they're Ibuki. She better be second :'(
LOL... I apologize if I came off as arrogant . The sentiment stands though. They're not always sandbaging . They just want to see what you know and if you go full blast first round , second round they're going to have all the info the need..

I'm not going to lie, Mika has an inherent disadvantage in this matchup. Even more than Zangief.

You're just going to have to stick to it and keep blocking whenever you're close to him.

EDIT:

Just try your best to get him in the corner. Once he's in there, he can either escape by jumping or by using his command dash or by using his V-Reversal.

You can use Mika's qcf+k for the jumping since his jump is easier to react to than others, and fuck his command dash and V-Reversal by throwing his ass back in there. (Regular throw, not command grab)

Sorry for the late response, I didn't see your question.

Light spinning mixer, unmashed, is -2 blocked, which means you can't punish but you have a slight advantage. So as the defender, you should jab which will beat anything he can throw out other than something invulnerable. If you do that, then you condition them to block. That's when you start going for the throw.

EX spinning mixer is his SRK-like move. Block and punish on the way down.

He's great, but others outpoke him pretty good. He's only a low to moderate damage character too.

Cool, thanks for the advice. I noticed I was getting blown up a lot by l.mixer (blocked) to an immediate ex.mixer. I'm assuming the invincibility frames beat anything. Scary stuff. I guess baiting it out and then CCing the bastard is a solid tactic.

Is the ex version his only reversal?

That St.HK. Really fucks you up. btw, there's no shame in using your command dash to escape.

Hell no there isn't! EX version and woosh I'm the fuck outta that corner. FANG is hilarious/frustrating to play as. Also, his V Reversal is another Get Outta Dodge move. I also use his command dash for shenanigans--throw, cross-up etc.

I'll try to keep it in mind, thanks for helping. Still such a depressing matchup as Mika lol ;_;

Ha, no arrogance :) But seriously, I was so aggressive with Ibuki in SSF4 on because I just felt like I had an answer for everything even if blocked and could mix it up. Going slower with Cammy now and it seems to be working much better.

whens the best moment to attempt a throw on a downed opponent when they are getting up?

You have to make them respect your pressure first, so just do meaties first so they start blocking on wakeup, then mix it up with a throw.

The other way is to know your spacing, and stand far away enough so they don't expect the throw or will press any buttons, but move in right as they finish the get up animation.

Yeah, tweet this to Capcom, I believe someone posted a similar problem in this thread. This could be huge when the shop opens.

Rashid is fun to use and I just won my first two games with him online!

Going to focus on him for now and see how it goes.
