Anyone else noticed load times for online crossplay are longer than when you match up with ps4 to ps4?


At first I thought it crashed or something, as it would just show the Earth and take forever to load the characters. Then maybe I thought it was because the guy had a shit PC or something. But its been a few matches now and all PC match ups take longer to load in.

I guess I should just hardware restrict it to match with ps4.

Edit: okay just now loaded a fight with a pc player and it loaded normally. Hm, strange.


Ps: i have a 360 TOurnament Edition FIGHTSTICK. COnsidering I haveSF5 on ps4 it seems this thing is worthless. Anyone on PC want it? Ill sell it for cheap. Great condition.

Sorry to hear this. Not that it matters, but I was playing last night and was about 3-5 minutes per match for me so seems to vary per user/location? That said, server team mentioned they made some tweaks to match making and you should get matches quicker now. If thats not the case for you I will let them know and see if I can get some more info.

Good stick. I have the VLX Kuro and I prefer the Hayabusa stick over the Sanwa ones the Kuro buttons though leave much to be desired. If you ever get comfortable enough I would look into switching out the buttons to sanwa or gamerfingers if you would like.

I've moved on for now. I can't take wasting any more time. I'll stick to training mode for the time being so I don't forget everything I've learned already but I'll hang fire on matches until Capcom hopefully fixes whatever the weird glitch in matchmaking is preventing a number of us from getting matches regularly. I'll try again next week and see how it is...

Ed is totally going to be one of the new characters for next season lol

PSYCHO POWER?1!?

I think I enjoyed Birdie and Karins stories the most. They are a fun pair together. Kanzuki estate100 man kumite should be a game mode. 1 life see how far you can get against her bodyguards.

Laura is fun to play but man everything else about her is basic. She has the worst story costume in the game.

Looking forward to whatever the main story mode ends up being.
 
Dunno how some of you are slogging through Survival mode. I went through easy with Necalli and was bored out of my mind, so I don't think I'll be trying it again unless I decide I need to grind for fight money. Colors just aren't worth going through that.

I apreciate you trying to gather info, but lets be honest here, its not like im a random case. Theres plenty of gaffers having similar problems, and you dont need to go far to see many are having problems.

that SFVServer twitter is bombarded with people saying its still broken, both lounges and long times between matches. I know you cant do anything besides pass on information (and even then the cynic in me thinks it falls on deaf ears), but like I said, im sitting here for 3-4 hours with 3 matches to my name looking at menus, meanwhile you see these pro streamers playing with matches every 20 seconds.

And no im not saying there is a conspiracy to allow the pro / famous players to play (how would that even work lol), if anything, it seems clear that the US works better than most other countries, that seems clear. Its just frustrating, and meanwhile, the game has disapeared from the steam top 10, various threads complaining about it keep popping up everywhere, I have no idea how its doing on PS4 but I cant believe its doing that hot either, and im sitting here to myself thinking "yeah im not going to join in on the lynch mob... but I cant really blame them either?"

im not even angry. I bought the game AND a new stick, and im not even angry lol. Im just sad and bummed out, and as each day passes, and you see Capcom going "everything working as intended" on twitter and you think to yourself "oh, so you watched some american streamer and assume everything is fine, neat", meanwhile peeps in south america (wasnt that supposed to be a big market for Street Fighter?) and europe (I cant speak about asia, we dont have many asian gaffers, or at least in asia) are being left in the dust it seems. I have of course no way to prove this is true, its just the feeling I get.

I got kicked out of normal the last time I tried and to be honest thirty CPU fights where only two or three are actually hard is indeed boring. Couple that with the fact you have to do it again to get the colours for other costumes is just a no-no. I'll do it easy with all the characters but that's my limit.

I'm talking one life bar and a constant stream of opponents. Not a break after every fight with some bullshit modifiers.

same. i did it with ryu on easy which wasn't too bad but i can't imagine how boring the harder difficulties will be or rage inducing losing at the end would be z_z

- Ed is amazing, can't wait to see him as a DLC Character that boxes like Balrog, and has Psycho Power in the mix (DLC Costume could be Bison's)

- Agree on Karin/Birdie, and the 100 men mode. Should be like Alpha 3 where characters kept dropping outta nowhere as you beat them

- Laura's the most honest character in the game IMO lol She's mixup heavy, but she's still mah girl (and yes, that alt is basura)

Yeah I'm not doing it. Even normal is almost 15 minutes of really easy fights and then a few that suddenly read your inputs. It's complete garbage.

Haven't used Mika at all so not sure how helpful this will be, but I'll give it a shot.

I've noticed that charged HK and Shooting Peach go through projectiles so that's one option, though you may want to be careful with Shooting Peach since it looked unsafe on block.

I believe you can use cr.mp as anti-air.

As for combos, I agree it's a lot harder to combo someone under pressure. Heck I've messed up plenty( using DPs instead of fireballs and accidentally using CA on occasion). Best advice I can give you is start small and work your way up. Also, practice makes perfect.

I'm sure someone here could give you much better Mika specific advice, but I hope it helps !
 
My inability to punish fireballs with Vega's jumping v-trigger sucks. Shit should home in given he has zero options against projectiles and he can't follow up with anything from the air version.

You can look for matches during it. So I just use it as a training mode.
