No offense but why did you wait so long? When I got my Collector's Edition from Best Buy, I immediately emailed them about my Cammy code and I got it within 10 minutes of sending the email.

Haven't used Mika at all so not sure how helpful this will be, but I'll give it a shot.

I've noticed that charged HK and Shooting Peach go through projectiles so that's one option, though you may want to be careful with Shooting Peach since it looked unsafe on block.

I believe you can use cr.mp as anti-air.

As for combos, I agree it's a lot harder to combo someone under pressure. Heck I've messed up plenty( using DPs instead of fireballs and accidentally using CA on occasion). Best advice I can give you is start small and work your way up. Also, practice makes perfect.

I'm sure someone here could give you much better Mika specific advice, but I hope it helps !

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I know crMP is an anti air but I'm to slow to use it on reaction, so I'll need to work on that :p. Shooting peach is indeed unsafe but it's currently the best I can think of to close in on opponents with projectiles, next to jumping. I'll need to play against some more people here before I try ranked again, since I can't seem to get over 200 LP. Maybe I should invest in a stick, but those things aren't cheap and they look difficult to control.
 
Im closing my day with 151LP. I'm almost not jumping anymore and can block a lot of stuff. Despite losing around 95% of my matches today I'm really happy that I made some actual progress. Master Zangief would be proud.

This game, Holy shit guys. THIS FUCKING GAME!

I just had the most hyped session of my online gaming life thanks to this game! Playing against a friend who uses Laura and me being Ken gave our matches a pretty awesome dynamic and they were so fucking great! The first three or four matches were him dominating me since I had not played against another Laura player before (maybe just once?) but the moment that I became familiar with Laura's play style? oh boy, OH BOY!

It was one intense round after another! After a while we became so good at reading each others moves that our matches became one punish after the other :) Overall, we had 17 back to back matches with same characters, using the same colors, in the same stage, yet not even for one moment either of us felt like the game was becoming dull (I know since we were on chat with our phones during the whole session).

Anyway, the end results were 10-7 on his favor. But, even though that I lost overall, it really didn't matter since we were having so much fun the entire time. (and we were improving , you could easily tell that just by watching our matches :)

Man, playing this game just gets more enjoyable with each passing day! Can't wait to sink more time into it tomorrow!

Anyways, now it's the time to hit the replays and figure out what were the things that I did wrong :)

I was having issues with this for awhile too but now I've been pretty consistent and am at 1500 LP. Slowly walk them down while blocking any projectiles they send your way, once in range use your charged HK, if they block, grab immediately as you usually have the frame advantage.
 
For all of you that ate having trouble with matchmaking, try making a dummy PSN account/ steam account and playing the game with that. A friend of mine says he's gotten a lot more matches since he did this.

I mailed them on Thursday , just now got the reply. When I picked up the game from the counter they said it should be in my email today or tomorrow. So I didnt really wait all that long.

Also how exactly did you mail them? I just went to the generic contact us->email option on the site. Maybe I should try calling.
 
Are ranked battles stil fucked? I've been sitting here 10 mins searching for an opponent. Hell even when I have fight request I get like 1 match every 20 mins.
 
Really Capcom? I'm 130 LP and you send me against a guy with nearly 2000 LP? Are you fucking serious? They need to fix this shit now.

This would be like if in League of Legends, you were in Bronze and to try and rank up, you had to face golds or plats.

It's gonna be at Jockey Plaza in May. People like Justin Wong, Chris G, Bala (Mexican KoF player), Brentt Franks (Rufus player from the US) and Keoma have come before. Good anecdotes with all of them lol.

Still having a hard time adjusting. Very slowly improving. But I got a little bit of filthy in me.
 
Has anyone's joystick disconnect at the start of their an online match? It has happened to me once for two online sessions with two joysticks.
 
tfw opponent ragequits because they died from a stray attack while I was attempting to pull off a taunt

(edit: or maybe the server just shit itself again, who knows)

Can't they just let you map it to the touchpad? It's not like it's getting used for anything else, only scrubs like me will want to use it anyway.
 
Still getting matches but results have stopped recording. Good thing too cause I just got destroyed by a Gold ranked R.Mika named Pavocado LOL
