Yeah, that's what's super weird. Like in the beta of all things I was getting matches every few seconds.

It seems (slightly) faster when I'm in training mode but it's still taking minutes.

You know something is fucked when SFxTK has way quicker matchups than SFV..... Heck Super, AE, AE2012, SFxTK, SFxTK 2.0 and Ultra were all much quicker to get matchups when they dropped.... I could barely land my jump in combo in arcade/training during launch week for them.. in SFV I could work on repeating a combo for 1-5 minutes before a game pops....

I realize this is a different system to those games... but if this is working as intended and something is going wrong... smh.... especially when combined with the loading times....

Wtf is going on with this game, I've been searching for an hour, ranked, casual, battle lounge, one fight, why does it work for some and not for me, anyone?
I have Nat type 2

I don't know what to tell you._._ honestly, I've gotten steady matches since launch, barring the servers being down anyway

Survival mode is worse than Persona 4 Arena's Score Attack.

I swear I'm the only one alive who thinks the survival mode is brilliant._._. I also loved Arena's Score Attack.

Servers so bunk it takes me 2 minutes just to get back to training mode after a match.

Then 4 minutes to find a match.

Then 2 minutes
I'll finish you in... 2 minutes.
to play the match.

Not a great time economy.
No, it's horrible. They really need to optimize it. It's not fun to play when you have to wait so long between matches. Everything just feels so clunky and old, network-wise. 2-3 minutes of loading after a match to return to your previous mode, then another 3-5 to load another match. Blegh.

It's pretty much unacceptable and needs to be fixed ASAP. Like, for real.

Just beat Hard Survival with Ken and got all his costumes. It's crazy how much the difficulty ramps up around 27-29. The M Shoryuken does wonders.

rank matches has been really great for me so far
only chose 5 bar connection though
only had like 2-3 super laggy matches, and maybe less than 10 matches where you can feel a bit of the lag, everything else is really smooth
stuck between 700-900 lp
hope i can get 1k today :<

I enjoyed P4A's Score Attack (I cleared it with all characters and got the trophy, after all) and was disappointed its difficulty was nerfed in P4AU. I dunno about Survival mode, though. It seems genuinely impenetrable with R. Mika right now. There's no real way to cheese the AI, and normal tactics won't work in an endurance capacity.

Holy fuck...

Maximilian got to level 45 in Hard Survival and lost to Gief. Dude screamed loud as hell, damn he was on this for hours.

The pppppppppaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Just woke up! So there's like 30 pages to go through. Cool.

I guess today, I'll try practicing individual parts of my game during online battles. So I'll be practicing pulling off my CA, my combos, my defense but only focusing on one aspect for a period of time, until I feel I got it in the bag.

For any other bipsonbros having problems in hard survival. Its not exactly a loop but the CPU refuses to block devils reverse. Even the harder fights.

My favorite part is when you finally get to the final few and get totally fucked over by the random drops, like a medium into low health regen where a full one could save you.

If you're playing Ranked, it's faster if you exit to Main Menu after a match and wait for the next match there.

nash's range is fucking insane

I play Ryu and always struggle with Nash matchups. I typically try and bait them in, then throw to corner. Most online matches no one, not even high LP players dash. Everybody jumps.

Dashing is so good for applying pressure. Whiffed normal's and specials all over the place, just need to learn to effectively punish.

I'm a 1500 LP Laura just beat a 2400 LP Gief.... that's a fight of patience.

Zangief has fed me a lot of points as Karin. It's one matchup where her charged up V-Skill looks to be extremely good. Poke with that and establish that range and catch the Gief jumping when you get in that range for a AA punish. Eventually they'll dash on the ground and eat a full combo.

Long day today, played 6 hours straight of some very streaky SF V. Started the day off at 1500 LP, got as low as 1200 LP and as high as 2300 LP. Currently sitting at 2100 LP. I still got a lot of work to do, I'm still basically ignoring the existence of V-Trigger and V-Reversal, I need to spend time in training mode getting the muscle memory for those.

I feel like I have a handle on most matchups now. Even the Necalli's I've bitched about earlier I've mostly figured out. I do struggle greatly against R. Mika though, she's probably beaten me 80% of the time. I feel like I know what I'm doing wrong though, letting myself get hit by the same couple of setups, so I hope to do better another day.
GGs Moris. Shame about the incredible lag, I need more Nash practice. A lot of my inputs were getting eaten.
Where are you based? I'm Nash too, and is in Europe.

I think SFV is the only game where I can get so angry that I want to throw my joystick at the screen, especially in games such as the one below:

Sighz need to stop playing and calm myself down.

Brutal. I had a loss like that earlier against a Zangief, he just spammed heavies and I had no idea where I was or what was happening. Gotta just let those ones go, there's nothing you can do about it.

Also fucking Rashid's horizontal kick thing does a LOT of damage for just a single hit move. I need to figure out a better punish than Dhalsim's st. MP.

Online lags like shit for me ...

Man, I am playing people on the other end of the world, with only a decent internet connection, and this game plays like a dream for me online. The best online I have ever experienced, no question. I wonder why the experience is so different for different people...?

oh yea, music is pretty hype in ths game. IV was really bad at start.

I liked IV better than most.... but at least it gave me the option to choose the music I wanted by going with stage.

*fight 20 akuma and ryus in a row*
*listens to two horrible versions of ryu's theme*
*rages that akuma's remix that's actually good is locked to single player mode*
*changes to stage themes*
*overpass and solar eclipse all day long*

Character themes are better in V though, loving Gief's and Ken's is da best (like always, cept IV)

They are attacks that have to be blocked the opposite way you are facing. MOSTLY jumping attacks but things like Cammy's vskill I believe if done at a certain range it'll flip through you and hit from the other side.

Rashid has a move like this as well, you usually get a split second to block though, then they attack your feet XD

Ya its not too hot for me either.
Which is weird I choose my countries flag so it should put me with people close to me

I've pretty much had flawless connections since Beta 2. Never really had much problems at all outside of maybe 1 game out of 20-30. I wish I could understand why people have such drastic experiences.
