I've pretty much had flawless connections since Beta 2. Never really had much problems at all outside of maybe 1 game out of 20-30. I wish I could understand why people have such drastic experiences.
And my internet ain't bad 50MB download 10MB upload works good for most games but not SF V

It takes forever to get into a battle lounge, so slow compared to every last gen Capcom fighting game... and than I find out they have 1 bar connection and either I pray it's not a slideshow or I repeat the same process. If I want to fight random people atm I'm pretty much forced into Ranked/Casual.... and I've seen what endless battle looked like when Super dropped on 360 in Australia, it was popping.... Had as many results back as I do in V right now and it was region locked.

They better fix this shit in the march update.

Roughly 30 or so hours played so far. Haven't had any issues since Wednesday.

Sucks for those of you that are. I hope it clears up :(

3 wins in a row!!!!!!!, against a player that had 2, feel bad for them if they havent achieved that yet though

Congratulations on the 3-win streak. I feel happy for you. :)

Maybe I should try a ranked match today as well. I haven't played a single ranked match yet, but that's more because I have just practicing different things in Training and Casual.

How do you guys see how many hours you have been playing the game?

Did you used to post on whirlpool? Knew I recognized your name

Yep yep, used to post a lot in the SFIV thread back in the day before the more serious players moved on (made friends at locals or ozhadou etc) and the other guys dropped out as time went by. Actually just started to post on the SFV thread on whirlpool, only person I recognize from that core group is Mr Caesar though.... But hey it's been like 7-8 years....

lost the next match even got perfected, but dont care I did it

also surprised I didnt think of this earlier, kens v trigger is great to dodge certain moves when it gets activated

Yeah I just checked out to add some local people. Few people I remember, mostly new guys. Nowhere near as busy as it was back when SFIV dropped. Mr Caesar dual modded my stick haha

Can't believe that was 7 years ago smh

So i tracked my ps4 loading times tonight. Between 31 to 45 seconds to get to the online match. Between 65 and 90 sseconds to get back to training mode.

You really do get better once you realize how characters are played. I've improved so much since I figured out what my opponents character generally tend to do for a strategy.

Foolish thinking I only needed to focus on my own character.

Please people, USE YOUR V-TRIGGERS.

As Cammy I pop it almost immediately after getting it. I'm not good enough to really capitalize on it yet though. Reversals I'm still struggling with getting the hang of. Had the same problem taking advantage of the roman cancels in Xrd.

It's better to make your own Battle Lounge. The ping meter in the list (before you enter a lobby) doesn't display very often right now and I've had people join very quickly when the network was working as intended.

Is there any list of moves you can crush counter like the ryu's Shoryuken?
As a general rule of thumb, moves similar to it. Cammy's Cannon Spike and Necalli's equivalent come to mind. Backdashes are also prone to Crush Counters if you predict it.

Is there anything specific needed for Battle Lounge, like certain ports open? I can connect to other people's lounges, but when I invite a friend to mine or he invites me, we can never connect. This would be PC to PC.

Since it's a peer-to-peer game, you're correct that ports need to be opened but I'm unaware which are necessary specifically for Street Fighter V. There's general guides out there on how to loosen up your NAT condition.

Any good Mika guides out there? I'm terrible with her but it's a great feeling when I land a couple of throws and just bully people into the corner.

Shoryuken.com still the best resource out there?

I seem to always be forced into the corner, how do I avoid this? Do I just have to jump over my opponent to the other side every time? Because I tell you, I get stressed, very defensive in style, and then I'm at the corner again.

I tried normal 1 time with Mika, lost at the 29 Necalli. I'll never get that time back and I don't even want to know what the 30 Bison would be like.

Everything up to Ryu at 26 is a joke, just run through them, then they start blocking everything..Gief just blocked everything I threw at him for 20 seconds, then instantly SPD'd me when I tried to crossup..Combined with of those 17 fails at gief, I've never gotten more than a medium heal or attack/defense 1 at him.

Coming back to fighting game after a few years and it's like learning a new language all over again.

Kinda hit a plateau with mika and started tilting. So tried out Sim. Actually enjoying him now.
I know SF-Gaf has a couple of Sim players so I would appreciate any advice. Didn't really play him in SF4 so one of the things I'm not good at is drill spacing or knowing when to go for drill.

Here's a replay of a casual match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2HUdi_eCOY
I missed a lot of anti air opportunities.

Try to get a back throw.

If they jump, try to dash forward.

If you play Nash, use your V-reversal. It's pretty much what his was designed for.

If you can get a hit in and do a combo or a move. Use that opportunity to get out.

You can't always avoid being pushed to the corner, but you can still get out of it. It's not a certain death situation

Hmm, guess that's going to be hard to find. Can't seem to find people having problems with port/nat issues for Street Fighter V.

My game is behaving really weird today. I'm experiencing some crazy slowdowns where my fps goes from 60 fps to 12 fps in 1sec. I booted up Rise of the Tomb Raider after just to test if it's my PC acting up, but no it's fine, no slowdowns at all. Anyone else has this problem?

Also, can someone share a list of who's worth following in the fighting game scene? I currently have these on Twitch:

- JWong
- AvoidingThePuddle
- GreenTekken

What is rip's, infiltvration's and fchamp's streams?

How is the disconnect situation with you guys currently? I hear it's better for most people but I just keep getting dc'd from the game server and often have trouble getting back on too.

Anyone up for sparring?

ID: storafotter

I need to learn how to land the 8-10 hit Karin combo into super without getting stressed online. It takes more than half health if successful. Also want to get back into the groove with Cammy and learn to get better some Ken.
