I was reading the threads of people complaining about the lack of offline etc. But I wasn't aware online was still having so much problems.

It's really weird how these black screen load times have gotten much longer. Really hope they fix this.

What about after an online match? Is there a long black screen before it gets back to whatever you were doing before?

I would kill for those load times. Is there anything special about your setup? Did you do any port forwarding or ini tweaks or anything?
 
Btw guys I don't know if this is common knowledge but you can change the menu music to any of the stage or character themes under sound settings. Thought it was pretty cool personally.

Survival just goes on way too long and can go to shit way too easily near the very end, to the point where it just turns you off from playing it. And worst of all it's the only even-slightly-passable single player content in the game since the story modes are five minutes long and the fights take ten seconds.

This game really needs an arcade mode.

After an online match can take a while, fret not. Usually 5-10 seconds with the occasional 15 second black screen.

i7-4790K 4.4Ghz with game saved on HDD 7200rpm.

Also have 5-6MB flint-stone internet.

yeah I see then, i'd have thought they'd be added to the CFN area by default rather than me needing to add to replay list individualy
 
I think it is pretty pitiful that you only get 50 fight money per win. Which means a crazy amount of wins and grinding in order to be able to "afford" the last characters on the season pass. I am guessing the future daily challenges will reward you more plentiful.

Anyone available? I am in Europe

Also can be a mix of all music. Which is nice.

I did notice it ignored I had spotify on earlier and left the BGM in place and not just the SFX.

The loading is too much for me know. Think I'll go place bloodborne.

This is my first day with the game where I have time to play and it's made me quit :(

Actually worried about the future of this it can't continue because it isn't acceptable.

You get a thousand when you level up a character.

So I've had a couple of thousand today as I got a few wins with Vega.
 
I'm getting fucked up by command grab and grab supers, like Gief's. I know I shouldn't be but I'm having a tough time dealing with them. What do I do to counter a command grab when I wake up? So I'm waking up and Laura/Gief does a command grab as soon as I wake up, do I just attack first?

For my part, I have no idea how to use Mika's command grabs effectively. Halp.

Command grabs can be jabbed out of. i.e when he/she's gonna go for a command grab, your quickest attack, which is usually lp or lk and sometimes crouching lp or lk depending on the character, is your go to move. It can also beat out some other moves. Try to keep your distance as Command grabs only work when they're close to you. Jumping also fucks up their plan and allows for some high damage combos to be dealt in return.

Jump to escape command grab.

Press Share, and save your video clip. Than you can upload your video clip and it's fairly straightforward from there. YOu'll be asked to link your PSN account to your youtube account and then the upload will be done in the background.
 
Man I have to be more careful against Mikas charged standing roundhouse. The recovery always catches me out. I guess it's about recognising the startup.

If you expect a CG, neutral jump will get you out of a grabbable state, at least if works for me when someone gets GC happy. Depending on the frame data of your moves a normal may be able to interrupt their CG startup.

With Ryu I typically either NJ and HK/HP or Cr. MP/ Cr LK xx Hadouken to get a breathe.

Thanks for the info! Your processor is better but your HDD and internet are slower than mine. Maybe I'll try moving the game off my SSD and see if that helps.
 
Very strange I bought this on my friend's PS4 when I was over at his place (digital), now I've come home and installed on my own PS4 and the load times are ridiculously longer for me! This is very bizarre...

I'm not sure if there's a code for Chun Li or if it just downloaded as a bonus, now that you bring it up.

There's no shame in playing only Casual mode. The only difference is that there isn't an arbitrary number that's decreased or increased at the end of every match. Do you whatever you enjoy :)

Oh yeah, I know how to do it through Share. Just wondered if it was possible through the game directly. :)
 
Two good things have happened to me today. In Training, setting Ryu CPU to 6-8, I am now consistent in stealing his fireballs and adding that to my meter. And I can finally pull off Nash's V-Reversal which is super useful. I can't do it consistently yet though. Tonight, I'll try do casual matches where I only practice either fireball stealing or the v-reversal.

Yeah I put it away for now. I am through most of the SP content and online isn't working as intended. Also hate the rage quits and other stupid or missing stuff. I think I'll be back in March so I can create rooms with friends.
 
People have been throwing around the term rage quitting since launch, but it's really far more likely there's still server drops going on. I've had it so many times at the same point in a match with the same error. And a few of those times I've had to log back in directly afterwards.

Well, you have to admit that when it happens after you just landed a game winning super, you can't help but feel a little suspicious.

Sure, but when you it happens with bad players that have a lot of LP and a huge win streak it can't be coincidence :p

When they get smacked down then quit right after they lose it's obvious. I've only been DCed once and only had one rage quitter so far though, maybe if I was higher Elo I'd see it more.
 
Man, Laura is a lot more fun than I gave her credit for. Nice short combos with easy links for big damage. Any beginners looking for a low-execution character should consider her.

I haven't experienced a disconnect in 2 days, but I have fought a couple people with huge streaks and at the very end of the final round the connection drops. They're quitting.

I'm sure some people are still having random drops, but it's not that hard to identify a real rage quit.
