Someone who's 1000-2000 LP add me. I'm trying to learn Sim without feeling the pressure of fighting strangers. Not new to fighting games but SFV isn't clicking for me yet.

Where are you from? If you're from Europe you can invite me

Isn't the tool assisted person using macros? How the hell would that involve a security hole, lol

They should probably ban them for being so blatant though

They are doing a lot more than than just using macros.
They are currently doing something to prevent their win-streak from decreasing (see e.g. this stream with Mike Ross), which they also did during the last beta. Furthermore, during the last beta, they engaged in several matches with Infiltration, somehow managed to repeatedly match up against infiltration, and then started playing under Infiltration's username shortly thereafter (see here). So they are clearly doing stuff to manipulate the servers, probably enabled by poor security practices on the client side.

Hah, I think I played you in ranked earlier. Can't remember who won though, but I was using Necalli.

Can people who sucked at SF4 like me confirm whether SF5 is much more accessible, especially in terms of linking/combo-ing? SF4 made me pull my hair with how strict and impossibly difficult pulling off simple 3-hit combos was (to me, at least), and that's what killed my interest in it after a while. I wanted to get good at it, but the game wasn't helping me at all.

Yeah it's a lot easier.

Pretty much the same thing but no FADC nonsense. Can't mash out combos, although timing is a little more lenient

Way easier to do combos this time around. However, as always, neutral game is king. If you couldn't open up an opponent in SFIV, you're going to have an even harder time here, so be wary of that.

I was decent during vanilla SFIV but SFV gameplay blows it out of the water. The one frame links are gone which is a god send especially online.

I saw this earlier and its odd how TA let Ross win. Perhaps because he saw a good player and the hacked streak doesn't reset anyway.

But this needs to be addressed if possible.

Losing all day today. No idea what's up. I'm trying to parry which almost never works and I'm not as patient as I was yesterday I guess. Pretty terrible at the moment.

Man, Gief getting you into the corner is just complete game over without a wakeup reversal option.

Anyway, off to see Deadpool...But fuck Gief

So far I feel confident in saying that I can definitely see this potentially being my favorite fighting game ever made.

It's just so fucking joyous. Excellent work Ono and team. Say what you will avout the content, but they strove for something truly spectacular with the gameplay and absolutely nailed it.

I just hate how so much is dependent on online. I get the servers getting hammered and having some issues, especially during the first week or so, but the only thing that should kick you out of a game when the servers go down is when you are fighting online. That's it. Making other modes dependent on constant online connection is just shitty design. Like, I was just trying out survival mode on easy when it booted me. I can only imagine how much more frustrating it would be for people trying to beat Survival on the harder modes.

Agreed with you 100%. I only have so much time during the week to play, and I was hesitant to play any of the SP content for fear of getting kicked out during a Survival run or the like, and thus wasting my time. I expected the servers to get hammered the first week or so, but I didn't expect it to mess with my offline play.

I think I'm done with this game until Capcom does something with rage quits. Went up against a 9 win streak Zangief, did the moonsault frametrap won and got the DC message. I worry every time when someone with a high win streak pulls the plug as I win.

If you do your throw too early, they can grab you in Throw recovery after it whiffs. If you truly did it at the same time you would both tech (Grab startup and active frames will auto-tech in the event of a trade). If you did it 2nd, but still didn't get the tech, you fat fingered something else or you were just too late.

Which is weird because in one of my earlier matches I went up against a Cammy and we both started the tech at the same time with our animations playing but I still get thrown. This happened to me in SF4 as well where I would Kara Throw with Decapre, hear her fierce being canceled into the tech but get thrown anyway.

My first time playing a fighting game and I'm fucking loving it. I'm still working on the very basic stuff but when I pull off a few moves the way I want to in a match it's so damn rewarding. I've never felt such a strong desire to learn and get better.

This is how I feel too. I've played a lot of Smash before but this is the first time I tackle a traditional fighting game. It's hard but I'm loving it so far.

Yup this is me too I just need to get that spark to increase my knowledge which is something I always struggle with.
