Still awaiting the backlash in March when one of the first things added to the store is Color unlocks that can be bought with
Zeni ONLY

I've decided to BM players if I stun them, I love using emotes or taunts in games. Just by thinking about it I'm laughing. I'm sure when they kick my ass they will enjoy the victory more and/or hate mail would make my win more delicious.

Any EU players up for some games?

Yo sure. Fighter/PSN ID?

Please send me your PSN/Steam and CFN details in a PM. I need for EU players on my list. :)

is it ok to leave a match that is lagging so bad it looks like it's running at 5fps? Because fuck that shit.
Yes it is. Nobody should have to endure such a thing.

I actually just had my first laggy match with Guru-Guru. Never experienced that before. Really unfortunate.

Anyone know how much exp and fm for hell survival?

Here's all I know:

easy 5k exp/2k fm
normal 10k exp/5k fm
hard 20k exp/10k fm

(doesnt include fm from leveling up)

Sitting at about 285k after all story mode, all easy surv., 1 normal, 1 hard

Yeah, it was too bad. I'm in Japan, but I have had zero lag playing with people from NA. Maybe EU is a no-go? :(

Is there anybody playing from anywhere in Asia, btw? I'm done for the night, but you can add me on PSN and CFN. The former is charlie_lun, and the latter is Charlie_JP

How much are you meant to get for doing all of Story mode? I ended up at like 140k.

Oh man you can rage quite a match after it's completely over and you've been KO'd, that's a bit freakin much.

Beat a 2k LP Karin and immediate disconnection notice, accept your losses people!

Edit this is getting ridiculous, of the last 8 games 4 have been wins where the opponent disconnects at the end of the last round and 4 were against people with double my LP who trounced me. Capcom plz, half my fights are either rage quitting douchebags or against teleportation masters that result in random bullshit.

If any Karin was lucky enough to beat Hard mode, send me your sick strats.
I can't even get past round 34. Your best bet is to dash back a bit and spam Ressen Ha+cr.k, but you might want to mix in some cr.mk+mk Mujinkyaku. Tick grabs work to an extent. I usually stick with defense boosts once I've doubled up on enough points, but if I have 70% health or more I tend to choose attack if it is +2 or more. Always consider boosting your attack if you are coming up against problematic characters like Bison or Nash in particular. Fuck those two. Necalli doesn't even compare to them.

Hopefully someone else has better advice to offer.

Weren't you like the #2 Karin online?

Hard Survival is too strong

I can get to around 30-40. Sweep spam max range pretty much beats everything up to that point. They just walk into it. Fuck Nash, Zangief, Bison, and Ken on the later stages though.

So how are people's experience with character variety looking?
I just checked the last 45 ranked matches I've played, and almost 2/3 were Ryu, Nash, and Ken (12, 7, and 10, respectively). I'm not surprised to see a lot of Ryu, since I'm in bronze and he's the recommended beginner character, but it's a pretty lopsided showing of everyone else.

Also, matchmaking is a bit slow today, but connections have been pretty good. Much better than the first couple of days, which suggest that the server may simply be better at pairing me up with people closer to myself, though perhaps being a bit too strict. Looks like they are working it again:
We've noticed a slowdown in matchmaking rate. We are looking into this issue.

No that's correct. Overheads aren't actually called high attacks.

I know it doesn't really make sense but that's just how it is lol

Wait, what? OK, it makes no sense, but it's nice to have that information in the attack data display, regardless of the confusing terminology. And thanks for the clarification.

what are some moves that are safe on block for Karin?

The easiest way to figure that out (unless you can find up-to-date framedata) is to set the dummy to block all, then record it doing a light shoryuken on block recovery (or a similarly fast move), and then just try every move in the book.

Just beat normal survival with Sim on the third try, yeah ! I don't know if I should be happy I did it or scared of the hard and hell levels though :/

I had two matches last night where I got crushed but it failed to upload the results to the server. Anecdotal obviously but it's not 100÷ rage quits. Servers are kinda garbage.

New player here. Enjoying the game but still feel like I'm struggling with some of the basics. I have no problem winning in story mode matches or local vs but get owned online. Training doesn't really cut it as there's no way to do move /combo challenges like there was in iv. Any advice?

Good to know. Won't be playing PC players starting now.

Thanks for that.

I googled it and I can't find anything that leads me to believe it actually exist outside shady as fuck sites.

And I doubt that stuff would work online to begin with. BTW the most well known cheater for SFV is on PS4.

I'm not on twitter so don't have a good handle on these things, but are Capcom acknowledging the extra long load times between every single thing there is to do on this game?

Nope, only stuff like matchmaking not working. It's driving me crazy, I'm staring at blackl loading screens longer than I am playing the game.

Because of colors?

How do you cheat at SFV on console? I don't even have the game yet, legit curious.

There are a few ways that are possible. Firstly, you can use programmable controllers, which allow you to record comboes of any length, and indeed Tool Assisted has written about using such controllers. Secondly, you can intercept the network traffic from the game, and directly manipulate this to achieve desired effects. Thirdly, and I do not know if this is possible for the PS4 yet, rooting / jailbreaking the console essentially gives you complete control over the system, and should allow you to do just about anything you want.

I know there were some essential videos posted a while back in the thread... What where they again.. Trying to 'get gud' with Ryu.

I'm having serious trouble during wake up. When I get up, I instantly neutral jump to avoid a grab, but then my opponent will just hit me while I'm in the air during that jump. What can I do to more safely get up from the ground?

Here's the official one.

I think they're talking about toolassisted, who as far as I know, used mechanical exploits, so his arcade stick is modded with a series of macros or something like that, rather than software based cheating.

That's the only way It would work, on console.

In which case, there's not much Capcom could do to prevent that on any platform. It doesn't make sense to implement an anti-cheating system (where you have to hire staff to develop one, or license one out) just for one guy.
