Why are you disconnecting me from my own lounge you fucking SHITGAME!

This is where I'm at. Capcom's servers can't handle the weekend.

That and when logged in to the server and tried hard survival....the game was moving like it had underwater lag from SF4.

And the twitter's like "We're mostly good!"

Finally got one, now see me win and the results not be sent.

Results not being sent doesn't matter, it's just a glitch (that's what Capcom said lol).
Your results will still be saved and you can check it in your history of Ranked Matches.
FM and EXP though... I'm not so sure xD

Just had the easiest match ever in casual against a chun, I hope they were just trying the character out rather than being completely new

Probably the latter. You try out chars. in training mode :p

Yeah, blocking is getting circumvented with special moves, I've noticed with Cammy and Chun Li, even if I was blocking the could land a hit, you have to counter immediately.

Uh, no.

Special Moves chip through block, but they don't end block state and generally will leave the person who used the move in a dangerous position.

If you tried to block something and it didn't work, it's one of three things:

  • You blocked at the incorrect height. For example, you tried to block an overhead low
  • The special move was actually a command grab, like all grabs, you can't block them. Tech or escape instead
  • You were hit by a normal (that you could have blocked) which was then cancelled into a special move

That's BS. Happened to me earlier and the replay wasn't saved, so yeah, I didn't get any points.

This is unconscionable. How could they not expect the server load? At this rate eventually there won't be any server issues, but it will be because there will be no players left willingly to deal with this bullshit.

Mika's j.lk -> s.mp isn't safe on block or something? Have not have anyone able to do anything agains't it before the match I just had against a ryu player, dude just grabbed me after blocking the jumpin lk evertime????

Edit - Also, how the fuck do you punish Karin's shoulder charge thing

Orochi is safe on block, it's -2 I think. So you can't punish it.

I need to take a break. I met three dudes on McDonalds wifi and it was awful.

In fact, I might need to take a break from online and really grind it out in training mode. My execution is off, and I need more answers to things, both with Nash and the rest of the random parts of the cast I'd like to play.

Anyway, while I cool off, let's have some more random tidbits on the SF series:

Charlie's death in A3 actually makes no sense if you think about it. Guile, Chun, and Charlie encounter a weakened Bison while the base is exploding all around them. Charile holds Bison back while the base crumbles around them, as Guile and Chun escape.

In SF4, Guile doesn't outright state it, but seems to be fuzzy as to how Charlie died.

A2 makes far more sense - Guile isn't around to see Charlie die, but finds his dogtags.

Of course, this doesn't answer how he's alive in A3, which is weird because A3 is like the most cohesive out of the SF games, but there you go.

Yes, this is it.

The TE2 Xbox one edition doesn't work on Windows 10. I know, it's fucking stupid.

I'm using Windows 8.1, do you have to use x360ce on Windows 10? Or is the Xbox One version working with PC anyway ?

Uh, no.

I see, I have to pay more attention to that then, thanks for clearing that up.

I don't think it's a server load issue. I think certain systems just don't work right.

I'm starting to think Cammy isn't that good, and needs like...1-2 more things to make her a lot better.

So i played a ranked match against someone and i won the first round and then suddenly i got an error,is this what they call ragequit?

Gonna post again cause the thread is moving fast

I have a Bison Pre-Order DLC Costume from Amazon that I'd like to trade for one of the other ones if someone is interested. PM me.

I feel like any character with extensive tech such as Mika has the advantage over a fundamentals not-a-lot-of-tech player like Ryu. Assuming both players are of equal ability.

Maybe it's just me but I've played so many matches and have gone on a lot of win streaks (And lose streaks) and there's a pattern to the type of fighters I lose to the most often. So many characters have ways to break through fireballs as well that it becomes a gamble in a lot of matches even if you try to keep proper spacing. Once they get in unless your block game is at an absolute expert level, you're done for.

I'm sure some of the best Ryus in the world will be the exception but it's how I feel.

She has good normals but I agree that I don't think her pressure is that great.

I don't think any of the rushdown non-grapplers are very good. Laura is the best as the command grab gives her more options. Just my opinion though.

There are loading issues on PS4, right? It's not just me?

Yep. It's related to the shitty servers (even for single player since it's always online--you can log out, but then you won't get fight money).

Load times just vary greatly depending on how the servers are running. But some of them aren't great even when the servers seem to be working well (like taking a while to load back into training mode after a match).

I'm still 99% certain that the load times post matches got significantly longer after the first or second night of the games release. And I'm a pc player with an ssd

It did. The game seems to feel the need to be in constant communication with the server, even during a survival run, and it's slowing down everything. Something is seriously wrong.

It's getting longer day by day.

Hmm, Went Ranked with Laura today and still undefeated, hope I can reach 10 before a good player ruins me lol. DS4 is limiting my play, still no Hori at my doorstep. But I still like her, pressure with projectile into command grab or cross up, or buffer anti air when they jump over it. Also did neat combos into V-trigger, into other stuff. Trained that a lot offline.

Most problems are with Ken players, his Sweep seems to beat mine. Also his wakeup DP beats my tools it seems. But V-triggered thunderclaps threw him off his fireball game.

But Mika doesn't have a lot of ways to break through fireballs.

I disagree with this notion, anyways, especially considering that if both players are of a lower level, a character who is more complicated to play won't make things easier for a player compared to a more "basic" character like Ryu.

Then both players aren't equal if one person isn't using Ryu's tech. Ryu has a lot of cool tech going for him, you aren't seeing it because people are pretty reliant on his footies game right now..

Perhaps it's the free multiplayer weekend on PS4? Though most likely it's the fact that this is the first weekend after the game's release, so this is probably the highest traffic the server is going to be getting for quite a while. It's only going to get less from here on in.

I agree so maybe equal ability wasn't the right word. If both are advanced players I mean. Mika just needs to get in on a Ryu and it's over. I wish I uploaded some of these matches lol.

even daigo got his shit pushed in by a mika. Ryu's tech isn't all that great compared to others.

No. Right now there's no penalty for ragequitting

That's probably why, since there's a Trophy for it. I hate that kind of stupid shit.

Cammy needs some priority on her V-Skill and Hooligan IMO. Also back HK seems to whiff everything.

How are you comboing her projectile and command grab? Unless you mean you are keeping them on blockstun and then going for the grab?

What's your CFN ID? I'd like to watch some of those replays. As a Mika player I still have a lot of trouble sometimes beating a Ryu who's just playing strong fundamentals. I think I've made it pretty hard on myself maining Mika, as someone who's pretty scrubby, but I'm committed!

Well I guess that's "good" to know and Capcom will address it. The game takes over a minute to "load" back to the main menu from single player stuff. That's just bad.
Yeah, sometimes I get out of training to accept an invitation and it takes a good while for me to get to the main menu, they should also add an option to accept invitations from the Survival and training menus.

Fuck 40002 again!

As a Mika player who's struggling against Silver league Ryus, I'm not really having that experience, unfortunately.

Well, then again, I wouldn't say I'm an advanced player at all. Maybe it is easier for pro Mika's on that front.
