These are all great. Thanks again!

Edit: That new page smell

How much Dr Pepper do you consume daily? Sugar can be a real pain in the ass

I managed to kick down quite some weight with removing beer , white bread and potato chips from my menu. And of course with everyday physical activity (at least 45 minutes of fast walking)
Like...at least a couple of litres >_>

Are you meals mostly precooked? Or prepared?

Learning how to do basic meals is paramount.

I know how to cook to a semi-decent level, but laziness or tiredness quite often will get the better of me unfortunately :/

you may lose weight then, as long as "basically the same" really is true.

I find this unscientific approach to be kind of mystifying though. I don't want to single you out since a lot of people do something similar. Cut out X and try to drop pounds.

If you want to drop pounds calculate what you're actually consuming and control it. No guesswork is needed. You can guarantee your own results rather than wonder if you'll get them.
Counting calories is hard for me to keep motivation for.

The only VR thing I ever had any interest in was Sony's. I'll get that (as long as it's not $800 or whatever!) and only that.

he still does tho. whenever I'm super down I just go through all his specials again.
True, but it is bittersweet. Did you ever listen to Do You Believe In Gosh? It was a collection his sister put together of the material he was working on for a new stand up album. Came out like 6 months after he passed away.

I'd eat that over a normal twinkie.

I like key lime though.

weight loss is quite easy. you just need to be patient with it - i lost 45 pounds in a year and look very different
Saw this this morning and it's really special. Loved it.

at first I thought the flavour was labeled Ghost Busters, that would've been interesting.

I think I did! I've watched practically everything there is online (or at least feel like it).
have you listened to this? I feel like it's one of his lesser known shows. a lot of funny improvised stuff inbetween the regular jokes (the vid is awful, I recommend the audio only lol)

Diet is not easy.

For me it wasn't easy until it was. It's all about routine. I just eat the same things every week. Occasional deviation, sure, but very little.

Some people can effortlessly stay thin and in shape, and that's very nice for them, but for me it does require effort, especially since I'm old now

Thank you again. <3

Awesome work! I especially like Pau's.
Right? :3 Maybe Coke will endorse me as a spokesperson now!

Counting calories is hard for me to keep motivation for.
I've been doing calorie counting and really you only need to do it until you get a good idea of the size of portions you should be eating. Then again, I tend to rotate the same meals every week so I find myself not having to manually log or look up anything unless I eat something very different.

I tend not to eat the same thing twice in a month besides leftovers.

I haven't! Looks like a new upload. I watched through most everything I could find of his on YouTube in high school. Will give it a listen now.

It's astounding they haven't already.
Bought a phone off of blamespace.
I change my vote to Timedog.

Bought a phone off of blamespace.
I had a dream last night that my brother and I were rock climbing along this surface that was a short distance above a lake, and my biggest fear as we inched along was that I'd accidentally drop my phone in the water. Then a minute later in the dream he dropped his phone in instead.

Sorry about your loss. I'm obsessive about keeping my phone pristine.

oh, that explains it.

For what it's worth, I think calorie counting works better as a guide than as a strict regimen. Not metabolically, but mentally. Even just knowing "oh this muffin is 700 Cal, not 200–300 Cal like I assumed" goes a long way.

Your dreams simply work differently from mine. If I worry that something is going to happen -- in a dream -- Then it will happen. It's like an elemental aspect of dreams -- A hard rule (for me).

oh wow that looks great. NPC?

thanks =) and sorta, yes and no

Oh yeah that's a bit different. I do look at calories when it's convenient but my mom used to have me chart everything and use measuring cup and stuff and that's just plain awful.

The other things that help are drinking a lot of water and eating more slowly. The first because most people have been conditioned to interpret some of the pangs of thirst as hunger pangs (it's not your fault, but it does happen), so drinking can make you feel less hungry. The second because most people will just keep eating until their plate is empty or they feel full, but it takes several minutes to trigger the full feeling, meanwhile you may have stuffed a lot more food down which will just get processed as excess.

I used to dream more like that. Not so much anymore. I can't really say why it changed. Maybe some psychologist or dream scientist knows.

Have you guys ever sped through the meal in anticipation for a meal you're going to have later in the day?

I just inhaled this bowl of cheerios thinking about the Chinese chicken salad, amazing bread, and homemade cookies I have for lunch.

I don't understand why I don't gain weight I eat so much. There must be a gaggle of worms inside me.

edit: I do drink a ton of water and eat slowly though, and that is what I suggest to people trying to lose weight.

Neither of those work for me though I understand how they make sense

I'm pretty sure it's more anxiety related.

I also feel like having smaller plates help a lot.

You are the worst type of person >:c

Also probably gonna stream some Downwell in a couple of hours if anyone wants to hang out. Just need to eat and have a shower first.

I don't really believe in counting calories and such. sounds like modern day nonsense and pretty much also like a tedious torture. I think people should be allowed to eat as much as they want to, they just need to eat the right stuff. try snack on some fruit more often, cook what you're currently craving but make sure it's made using mostly fresh & healthy ingredients (eat your veggies yo!) and you're pretty much fine unless there isn't some other stuff going on (there are certain health conditions that prevent you from losing weight etc.). also reduce the meat (not only saying this cuz I don't eat it but consuming it every day of the week in various forms really isn't helping).
if you follow these guidelines you don't have to feel guilty about occasional sweets and junk food either imo.
of course actively losing weight is a combination of diet+excercise but concerning food this really seems like the most "natural" and best longterm thing tho.
fuck portion control.

You describe a "common sense, be motivated, be healthy" kind of lifestyle -- which is perfectly fine for some people.

Others are overweight and they lack common sense. Their bodies don't tell them they don't need food. They're just genetically wired differently. Eating can be likened to addiction for them. For such people taking things out of the hands of their impulses and putting them into the hands of science can be extremely useful.
